To clarify, if any of the crystals full deplete, it instantly kills you and makes you restart the whole encounter. That is the timer I am referring to.
Need guide for the 2nd phase of crystals too...
Holy shit... That makes so much more sense lol. The "timer" it seemed was always changing on me, and when I got two done it seemed I was guaranteed to finish without them blowing up.

omg thanks for explaining what was happening. I tried 2 times already and each time I opened ALL portals and had no idea why I was dying even though I was doing fine against the mobs

Yeah, imagine accidentally got knock off the map during the middle boss fight, and yeah it was me. 30 minutes wasted.
Thank god I found this video and these comments cause i thought i was the only one not able to do this on mh10 even with a near perfect Amara facepuncher build. I have a white elephant mod with 80% melee cryo dmg and also boosts rad and electro dmg by 20% + my shield has the 200% melee after phaseslam and also boosts melee by 80%
Basically my build= death to all, but damage cant defeat these half ass Destiny mechanics.
I like the RAID Design itself, but the health scaling is freaking insane! Its really Not fun, if every mob is harder than all normal M10 bosses
Even with Moxsy damage, it still takes too long to kill stuff. And I dont have anywhere near as much damage as moxsy. This shits hard.
I use splash master moze that does it for me
Depends on the character, as a flak, a shock plaguebearer, with deadeye, and one shotter sheild was hitting for hundreds of millions and one shoting nearly every enemy for this part making it actually easy
Gearbox has announced they will be adjusting health for enemies in the Takedown at the beginning of next week

I've almost played Borderlands for 10 years... until this takedown and hotfix. I'm actually done for the foreseeable future. I'll stay subbed and hope it gets better next DLC
Same, Not played for a few weeks, came back did half hour and uninstalled lol. I doubt I will be buying next expansion either, they mess around with core game too much. They are treating a single player game like it is an MMO or competitive shooter with all the 'balancing' and nerfs. Things were fine before Mayhem 2,0 mostly. But like Bethesda they fix one thing and break 4 more.

This is a great activity tbh and I say that as a Destiny 2 player. There's just something epic about battling Guardians and boss design is awesome too. I only wish the crystals could be charged one at a time (or rather that the others didn't deplete at the same time), at least when going solo.

i usually try to stay positive about borderlands even about stuff that most people shit on, I think people are usually over-critical and needlessly negative about everything, but this time jesus christ, they really messed up on this takedown. i hate everything about it

I need to farm a good Monarch and switch out cutpurse cuz I was doing way too little damage while saying on it. Either way the enemies have way too much health, why couldn’t they have the same health as the other Takedown? I feel like I have a pretty good ricochet witch, I don’t feel like I’m bad at the game, do I really need near perfect gear and understanding of, a really dumb king of the hill mechanic in an extremely mobile game, to accomplish anything on this Takedown?

Yeah and on top of being bullet sponges when you think your about to kill them, they transform with even more health+armor. AND ON TOP OF THAT IF THEY ARE NOT FLYING WITH A RIDICULOUS PATERN THEY DO STUPID BACFLIPS AND TELEPORT EVERYWHERE
I refuse to believe that anyone can actually do this on M10 right now. It's a broken mess. The enemies are too strong and too many, all my M10 guns aren't doing enough damage, and these crystals are infuriating.
I went in yesterday with full M10 gear in M6 to test things out and it's a fucking nightmare. Fucking disaster of a patch.
On M10 the boss fights are super easy. The only problem is the mobs and how much is wasted on them. Took my friend and I a while but it worked out

I managed to clear the first big boss (the one with platforms where you have to jump when hes about to explode) with deathless gammavore flak. Used opq, recursion (cryo) and monarch x4 (corrosive) all with 150/50 and infinity with extra rack attack to proc ases during gb. I made with withiut getting downed, but it took soooo much time as those guys are freaking sponges. After killing him got malaks bane and i did alt f4, didnt finished it.
Ps. Cryo on recursion was intended to get 4 elements with 150/50 rad and shock/corrosive accessory ases.
ofc its possible, reflux recursion and monarch are the only ones that work here backburner is a good choice too
Thank you. I'm doing _Guardian Breach_ for the first time, and I was concerned that it would be as bad as trying to dolo _Vault of Glass_ in _Destiny_. (as in friggin impossible lol) Following your guidance made getting past the crystals pretty easy.

I got mh10 gear cant make it past this part without having to start over. I DONT WANT TO do it on a lower level so .I. am official done with this game. Its bin fun bl1.then 2 and 3 but now this is where this gaurdian retires ..r.i.p gearbox I give up now. I HOPE you are happy

One of the worstest gameplay experiences in my life. How this can still exist in 2020/2021!? They need to fix it for solo players, for now it's just a super trash level.
I didn’t think it was timed I thought the big guardian with the orb above it’s head kills you instantly when you get to close to it
my first run i immediately went on True Takedown mayhem 10 solo coz i could do it for Maliwan's... didn't even realise they were on a timer for the crystals and when i respawned i went WTF. This one felt like 5 times longer and those vanishing platforms... Playing as Zane going full speed doesn't exactly help...

I've watched a lot of your videos now, and I haven't figured out or heard it explained: why do you punch the air all the time? Is there an ability being activated when you melee, even if you don't hit anything? I've wondered this for a while
Reload cancelling, a lot of guns can be fired sooner than their animation implies by melee’ing or throwing a grenade.
If you haven’t watched his streams, he’s said he has ADHD and that the melee is something to occupy his mind in between actions.
There's points in reload animations that can be bypasses by grenades or melee alowing a faster reload.
Legendary Relly it’s called “fake grasping” and it is something only Amara can do. He isn’t punching, he is activating the grasp action skill without targeting an enemy. When using the Spiritual Driver Class Mod, and an elemental projector you proc elemental damage on yourself. If you are using shock, this can charge a Transformer shield. Procing elemental damage also makes you move faster, and the faster you move the more gun damage you do. This is the core element of a Spiritual Driver build for Amara.
Amara has a skill that grasps enemies into the air. When you don't aim at an enemy, the skill cancels. When you have the anointment "action skill end bonus elemental damage" on the recursion(Shotgun) , shield and grenade, it does extra projectiles for each individual element that can wipe out a room full of enemies. He is "punching the air all the time" to cancel his skill and keep those anointments active.
This takedown has the potential to be a great challenge, but it needs SERIOUS reworking. The enemies are too many in number and are still bullet sponges. The crystals blow up enemies and down you. Only about a dozen or so guns from across the game and DLC can be used just to get by. Even then you need specific builds or your just screwed.
What build are you using ?
Hey Moxsy, Do you have any tips on how to get stronger, I farmed M10 weapons (opq, kaoson, yellowcake) with the 300 90 annoint, and I can't even kill the stuff on mayhem 7. What more can i do to get stronger? I'm using your khaos queen build for amara. Only gun that feels decent is teh recursion and its broken interaction with multiple projectiles.
Stop farming those weapons and that anointment. The opq is fine but that other stuff was nerfed into the ground. Get a monarch, a backburner, and a plaguebearer. Again, the 300% anointment is dead. They killed it. Go for action skill end or stnl cryo for zane.

Moxsy - do you (or others here) have your Guardian System enabled or leave it disabled? I have had mine disabled for ages and was wondering if it would be beneficial to turn it on for the Guardian Takedown. I am using the Fire Hoze Moze (latest) build - thanks.
He had it enabled. You NEED your guardian perks to boost your survival rate

How many players will Borderlands lose as a result of the new update ?
This new update is exclusively positive, I’m not sure why people would leave. If the new takedown is too hard for you on M10, then guess what, don’t do it.
They have reduced the number of viable weapons for M10 from 6 to 3 with the nerds. The buffs to the 6 smgs are insufficient to make them viable and still leaves 90% plus legendaries useless at M10. They have provided new content which is very difficult for RUclips content makers and Borderlands specialists to do even with all there god roll equipment, so thanks for that. They have essentially reduced the options for M10 and the playability of it for most players. But thanks for your helpful comment.
oh and on console this update is so busted bad right now that most ppl that run the raid are using modded gear in public lobbies for the exact reason i just mention before what a nice positive update that you got there
I just use Boresplosion with Zane. Easy run even on TRUE takedown and that's why he's stronger than moze now. Or at least a tie.

Yes, a RAID can't be designt like that. Every weapon except these and maybe 3 other weapons are useless... On console you cant even use the recursion because amara makes the game crash with this weapon
my hellshock deals with guardians pretty well too

the glow on the crystal. if it goes all the way down to the bottom they detonate
charging blue, on hold white and red explode
try a...high level.....Cost Effective Q System assault rifle.....638-648 range works very well all on most enemies at this level...

the enemies are extremely bullet spongy to where if your not rocking monarch or any of the mayhem 6+ weapons this will be impossible

Yeah I’m without dlc and the extra damage from the pearl and old god is crucial on Amara, I have really good monarchs and recursions and it’s still very hard solo.
It will be way easier to do solo once they actually fix this takedown

Seriously this Takedown Mode is a Waste of time. I tried several times with Moze and her insanely strong Ironbear - every other challegen i could nuke everything down in some few seconds. But these guardians are unstoppable. For a single guardian i need 3 (!!!) nuke bombs to kill it. I cannot make the Crystal fill up, as long as some few guardians are standing on its areas. Too many enemies, too many hitpoints, too hard to kill. I farmed soo many legendary items and i guess i picked the strongest ones (> all boosting iron bear), but seriously this is not balanced well. Sorry im gonna stop playing this Crap.
This isn't hard, there's just so many jumps and potential falls throughout the takedown that make it not fun. Theres a reason they have such a shit attempt rate 1 of 25 clears- that means you did a bad job designing it.

Wasted a fucking HOUR doing the puzzle because everytime I try to fill up just ONE crystal an enemy knocks me out of the radius or just kills me instantly.
Same. If you're using Radiation weapons or bonus ASE Radiation and those enemies blow up when you charge a crystal, it instantly downs you and you cant get back up because theres no enemies around to kill. Its fucking bullshit. You NEED multiple elements on your gear, weapons, and skills in order to kill them fast enough
