Oh my !!! I thought my favorite singer, Johnny Mathis, was the only guy who could sing that this ! Why
have I not ever heard of this guy before !? LOVE his voice !
My favorite song which hold many memories, sung by this beautiful man who starts out sounding like Johnny Mathis and transcends into an Irish tenor sounding like John Gary at the ending. I have never heard of Walter Arties, and now at 72 I have discovered a true musical gem which has been hidden from me. Thank you!!!!!
Hi Hi Aaron, I first listened to this song at the age of 14. It is one of my favorites of his. I am now almost 62 and have continued to enjoy it through all of these years. Arties was truly one of the “voices” of our generation.

We sang it from a chorus book called Making Melodies while we attended an MK (Missionary Kid) boarding school called Las Americas Academy in Siguatepeque Honduras.
At 74 my first time hearing this beautiful rendition!!
Walter Arties has been a favorite singer of mine since I was very young and to hear these songs again, just makes me long for a closer and closer relationship with Jesus.
Elder Arties is a lovely a his voice. Someone who really loves Jesus and has used his gifted talent to share the Love of One Who is so LOVELY, Whom the angels love to sing His Name. I so love Him too.
One day soon I will sing with you on Streets of Gold, by the Crystal Sea, near the Tree of Life, where we'll be with Him Who is Faithful and True and is written across His thigh on His vesture.
