@@catfisher420 at least Kawasaki and Seadoo make starter solenoids that work, my friends Yamaha FX HO almost caught fire after he tried to dock. Lanyard out and it was cranking for maybe 30 seconds before he ripped out the battery.
When you go to the local dealer, which brand do you see being worked on the most in the shop? So there you have it, SeaDoo is faster..... at breaking. 👍
I just bought my '19 RXTX 300 this weekend and love it- The stereo is MUST!!!. I also have a '15 RXPX 260 and can honestly say they are a perfect pair. Neither one is better than the other (except for the extra power of the 300 motor) its more like having a Porsche 911 turbo and a Porsche Panamera Turbo.
Everybody knows the Yamaha is limited to 70 by the manufacturer. Just ribbon delete and reflash the ecu and you'll see why all the racers win on that big 1800...

Struggling on which one to buy. RXT-X 300 or the 2019 FX SVHO Cruiser. Can you all please let me know your thoughts on which one? I am looking for speed, fun ride and good in chop, comfortable and reliability. I am also 6’4. Any advice you all could give would be great. I just can’t decide.
Well first, both hit 69.5mph, so top speed isn't a factor. "Fun" is subjective; the RXT-X tends to bow steer in rough water (without RIVA adjustable sponsons, that is - see our video review). The Ergolock is easily the most comfortable seat in the industry bar none. Yamaha touts the best service record (warranty claims, etc.). So it's a mixed bag.
@@funtimes1202, the 2018 models had some "teething issues" that hopefully have been corrected for 2019; namely cracking in the paint at high tension points. The paint is also highly sensitive to more aggressive or caustic cleaners and pressure washers, so don't use those either. The centralized storage has a nasty tendency to drain water into the bin when opened quickly too. Mechanically, the ACE 300 powertrain has been great. The FX SVHO gives a substantially more predictable ride in a variety of water conditions than the RXT-X.

We often don’t at all; because we don’t own the skis we’re loaned. They come to us serviced and ready to run. Rarely do we need to perform any service.
You guys should do a head to head comparison on a loaded spark 90 3 up vs the Yamaha EX deluxe! I’m looking at getting a second small ski and I’m curious between the two.
Watercraft Journal they don’t have to be performance machines to be reviewed do they? I’d like to see them head to head to compare features and yes performance even though they are not performance machines.
Sadly, the head-to-head competition thing is something we won't be continuing. Too many angry suits. But yes, we do review individual PWC on their own merits and have a long list of vehicles coming up over the next few weeks and months.
Well it seems to me that the Yamaha SVHO four stroke engines are not so reliable after all, because i just saw a RUclips video of a PWC with a catastrophic engine failure do to water injestion developed after a crak in the cylinder head, and they said in the video that this is a very common failure in almost all these cylinders head engines. Aside this they are also prone to break the timing chain and the coil pack is prone to fail prematurely as well because a fault in the OEM ECU. You can find all these info in the green hulk Yamaha PWC forum. The supercharger clutch is also prone to fail, an issue that Sea Doos engineeers solve in there new 2016 and up RXTX and PX 300 lineup.
Watched the Video, then Bought the Yamaha.💪🏾👌🏾. The sea doo will not get close mod for mod. Removing the limiter in the computer and changing the prop does wonders.

I still don't get the hype that people are showing about going FASTER on a PWC. First off, does anyone own a PWC that goes 80 mph or faster?? Otherwise your talking about a 10 mph difference or less. That is practically useless unless your a pro PWC racer and every second counts. So wtf is it? What is so special about that 10mph boost?

You are fundamentally wrong for exactly all of the points you shared. We give exacting and scientific (and repeatable) results with the very least amount of variables for there to be any question.
@Parker Stewart apparently the RXP is slightly slower than the RXT, due to drag, this info is from Sea-doo website 0-60, the RXP is 3.8 sec, and the RXT is 3.6 sec, this is due to more drag on the hull for the RXP, which also means more maneuverability for RXP

Still not a true comparison, the FX cruiser is marketed as a luxury performance machine, so compare it against the GTX300 Limited. For the RXT it should only be compared to the GP1800R

I can honestly say the first engine on my 300 limited failed pretty much out the box and the replacement engine failed last night on LakeRabun Ga.

The sponsons will effect neither. They will only help in straight line tracking. If set lower, they'll actually present added drag.

Fun Times I love my FX. I go on long trips on Lake Michigan and don’t want to break down Yamaha is the most reliable

Nope. You're mistaken. We did two rounds of testing; one with and one without LC. The results are shown in the graph.

The Watercraft Journal im between Spark and Gti model. I love the Gtr230 too but i think its overkill for me
If we can make a suggestion, the GTI SE 170 is easily the biggest WIN for 2020. Absolutely fantastic machine.
3 gallon difference in the tank =18lb more on Yamaha.

You don't even need to change the prop. ECU, engine cooler kit and the flame arrestor swap (GP only) and BAM! 81mph.

Still not a true comparison, the FX cruiser is marketed as a luxury performance machine, so compare it against the GTX300 Limited. For the RXT it should only be compared to the GP1800R
