    Struggling on which one to buy. RXT-X 300 or the 2019 FX SVHO Cruiser. Can you all please let me know your thoughts on which one? I am looking for speed, fun ride and good in chop, comfortable and reliability. I am also 6’4. Any advice you all could give would be great. I just can’t decide.

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  5 лет назад

      Well first, both hit 69.5mph, so top speed isn't a factor. "Fun" is subjective; the RXT-X tends to bow steer in rough water (without RIVA adjustable sponsons, that is - see our video review). The Ergolock is easily the most comfortable seat in the industry bar none. Yamaha touts the best service record (warranty claims, etc.). So it's a mixed bag.

    • @funtimes1202
      @funtimes1202 5 лет назад

      Watercraft Journal do you know of any mechanical issues with the rxtx300? Is it reliable? Which one was more fun to ride?

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  5 лет назад +2

      @@funtimes1202, the 2018 models had some "teething issues" that hopefully have been corrected for 2019; namely cracking in the paint at high tension points. The paint is also highly sensitive to more aggressive or caustic cleaners and pressure washers, so don't use those either. The centralized storage has a nasty tendency to drain water into the bin when opened quickly too. Mechanically, the ACE 300 powertrain has been great. The FX SVHO gives a substantially more predictable ride in a variety of water conditions than the RXT-X.

Aside this they are also prone to break the timing chain and the coil pack is prone to fail prematurely as well because a fault in the OEM ECU. You can find all these info in the green hulk Yamaha PWC forum. The supercharger clutch is also prone to fail, an issue that Sea Doos engineeers solve in there new 2016 and up RXTX and PX 300 lineup.

    Let me get this straight. You took seadoos race version and put it up against yamahas luxury ski. Way more weight on the Yamaha luxury ski. Why not put it up against the GP 1800. Same racing category as the seadoo RXT 300.... Oh yeah you might get smoked by Yamaha. Lol .....i know this from experience on my GP 1800.

      You're joking right? The FX SVHO (not the HO or the Limited) was the single-most chosen machine for the AquaX race in Daytona Beach this past weekend. More racers are riding the FX SVHO than the GP1800R in offshore events. No, we chose right.
