@@dave_42 Maybe it’s too late to answer this but still I will answer it. It written གི་གུ however in my observation Tibetans pronounce it somewhat like gyigu. The i sound is stretched a bit longer in gigu which gives a illusion like there is a y in there. Also, many times the English transliteration differ depending on whether it is transliterating spoken Tibetan or Tibetan in its written spelling. Spoken Tibetan can sometimes differ what’s written. Hope this helps.

Mathilde oh I see but (Nina ) has no meaning ༼ནི་ན༽ maybe dog name called (Nyima ) ༼ཉི་མ༽ Nyima has meaning. That mean Sun ཉི་མ། in Tibetan. I don’t see any meaning Nina ནི་ན། I am sorry for not find meaning.
