Hello everyone, I hope you enjoyed my video. I thought I would mention that I have a Reddit! I don't often use reddit or really any social media at all. I don't cheek it very frequently but if you also have an account you can feel free to message me if you want to suggest any ideas or you just want to tell me that you like my theory’s Now just keep in mind that I probably won't respond to all of them Link is in my about section in my YT channel (and please don't send me anything weird lol)
“Sometimes you see it, the light in the dark only you can see.” Is the first dialogue interaction you have with the save point as Kris, implying only one person can save in this world just like Deltarune
Fun fact: plants do have a mind of their own. Plants think, memorise, experience, feel, see (although just difference between light and dark), communicate, sometimes even help each other, it's on a very complicated time frame as plants can't move, but they can redirect their growth. The consciousness of plants and their lives are nigh inconceivable and incomprehensible to us, so many humans tend to shrug plants off like they're mindless objects instead of thinking beings. That's a very common way of thinking when you see something unfamiliar and then to just assume that since it's not like you, then it must be stupid or inferior. This has happened even in our own species (aka racism, nationalism, etc). Plants, particularly those who live for hundreds of years, are somewhat like ancients with incredible knowledge but it's all hidden within. Parts of their physiology function quickly, while some are slow and adapted to the sessile lifestyle. I know this isn't related to the topic much but since you included that comment Undyne had made, I thought "why not".
Refer to the Deltarune FAQ. Rules that work in Undertale don't necessarily apply to Deltarune. Your theory is a cool concept to explore, but there is no supporting evidence in Deltarune. Also, Deltarune save points aren't at all implied to use Determination. Best we have is the dialogue of the first ever save point, saying stuff about light. EDIT: Deltarune save points are only in dark worlds. So whoever has the ability to SAVE (Which Kris has before the player takes over), can SAVE and LOAD inside dark worlds. We don't know if any lightner that we know of has stumbled upon dark worlds previously. Although Gerson Boom is heavily implied to have used dark worlds for inspiration to write books- but he's dead.
Yeah a lot of things I just kind of assumed in this video. queen only mentions determination to open the dark fountain's and since determination allows you to save in Undertale I just assumed that its the same in Deltarune too. Even though I have to say its 100% I just kind of assumed that its possible for the video. And I totally forgot about the Gerson thing! I wonder if they where actually in a dark world?
@@theorycrafter300 Considering Queen didn't know about the Roaring, it's likely she isn't a reliable source of information, or the source she used to learn about that isn't reliable. Either way, the namedrop of determination is something not to be overlooked.
Since determination has never been mentioned even once by the save points (very deliberately by toby), i dont think DT is the requirement to be able to save in this world.
Yeah it was more or less an assumption I made. since queen confirmed that DT does exist (due to queens dialogue) I just kind of assumed that it works the same in Deltarune than in Undertale. though that's just a theory/hypothesis since we really don't know anything about saves in Deltarune.
the man behind the tree scene acts sort of similar to the pandora palace during the weird route. the other characters dont react to this unusual situation despite it being weird. the only difference is your party members are more 'there' in the weird route as they follow you around and do battle
The answer of the game and Simba your choices matter can save who cannot stay in the world even Seam fate is approaching … and it is not on your side with the theroy time loop world
My head cannon for saving is the following: 1. All monsters have save files. 2. No monster can access them as they lack the determination to do so. 3. A monster with a singular human soul cannot reset. 4. A monster/flowey can reset/load save files with at least 6 human souls. Biggest problem is that I don’t know if they are powerful enough to reset with 2-5, though it would make sense.
Flowey could reset without any soul in Undertale. The most determined person in the underground could save. But there seems to be very different rules in deltarune
We kinda have an answer for saving in deltarune. In chapter 1 before you best the chapter a syrande character who might be gaster tals you through saves and is managing them for you
I feel like maybe because the monsters were never imprisoned, they never learned to use magic or determination, so the same rules still apply as in undertale, just the monsters never found out about it because they never needed to find out about it
I'm curious, what exactly do you consider a fourth wall break, the thing undyne said, to me comes across as an observation she made after catching a glimpse of flowey
Never thought of it that way! I also just now remembered that papyrus also talks about a "talking flower" so maybe she was just remembering papyrus talking about "his friend". and tbh that's probably it to be honest. I was probably overthinking it when she was probably just remembering something papyrus said.

Just like Undertale*
It isnt implying there isnt OTHER variations of save points, like a magical brick or something

Huh cool! you learn something new every day I guess.
2:52 Asgore did get sick in Undertale though. The buttercups.

*you see the video and pet your cat.

Seam knows you fought Spamton/Jevil, even when you didn't... yet. They are a very determined Darkner, right?
I think (not sure) every lightner can save (:
I dont really have much to say lol
