My mother and I were very close. She now has advanced dementia and has no idea who I am. It is devastatingly heartbreaking. I miss her; I miss us. ☹ If you can, appreciate the woman who raised you. Things happen that can/will take that away from you leaving you only with wishes of what used to be or would have been.
