Proof the Paige is a wondergirl 1 she is fit 2 she studies like a boss 3 has a big group of friends 4 is active on RUclips 5 humble , funny, cute, lovable And the list goes on. Like how do u manage so much......
I was told the exact same thing from my school that I couldn't do two languages, but thankfully my German teacher knew how much I loved the subject and agreed to come in before school just for me. We ended up with a couple of us taking both German and French for GCSE, and now fast-forward 12 years and I'm a fully qualified translator and interpreter fluent in two foreign languages and learning another. You're so right though, you don't need to study a language at uni to become fluent. It does take a lot of hard work though and I think uni does help give you a push to study the language consistently and intensively. Best of luck with your future language-learning! It's such a rewarding thing to do so I'm sure you'll love it :)
I’ve just moved back to Canada after graduating with my MPhil from Cambridge. I was living right by West Cafe and the IoA so seeing you walking around is making me so ‘home’sick for Cambridge 😭
Yay ! Watching you from France ! :D I discovered you a few month ago and I managed to watch all (or almost) your videos and thank you, I was missing Uni so much ... and thank you for your energy and your realness ! Et bon courage pour le reste de ton trimestre ! :D
Yayyyy!!! Finally Will was featured in the vlog. @PaigeY I would really appreciate it if u could communicate to Will that I have truly with all my heart fallen for him.
If you get a second screen for your Mac, it will feel so much easier to do your coding projects. All your graphs/reading/reports can be open on the other screen and it will honestly feel so much easier to manage!! Love a 2nd year PhD physics student ⚛️👩🏼💻 Keep it up, you're doing so well 😘💪
I started my Spring Semester and only week one down and I’m tired. I am out from 430am to 10pm four days out of the week. Watching your videos keeps me motivated and also wanting to add another class.
The laundry section is back, yay!, hope to see more of the IoA and the telescope itself, may be how it’s set and different configurations like aperture, declination, angle of view, focal ratio etc. It would be beti interesting seeing Paige teaching that stuff. It was a really nice vlog
Thank you for motivating me to do my work Paige!! I love the positive energy you have even when your studies are difficult! You have inspired me to do a study RUclips channel, thanks ❤️
You and your videos should be given literally the entire credit for bringing back my motivation and love for learning. I can't thank you enough for these videos that you make. Please don't ever stop. Lots of love and good luck to you
For the soggy cereal thing, I usually fill up my bowl with milk first and then add a small amount of cereal, eat that, and then add another small amount and eat that, and so on, until I'm done, so my cereal never gets soggy 😊
I am glad to see you found a way to balance your life at Cambridge. In my case it was a very traumatic experience, even after I graduated; probably I was too focused in my studies and I forgot to live. Keep going!,
Paige I was wondering if you could make a video with one of your friends who is an international student who can help us through by telling us about his/her process and how he/she got into Cambridge
I can already tell you that it's a lot harder for someone who isn't from the UK to get in. There's an article (I think it was published in The Guardian?) detailing how Oxbridge over-recruits from only 8 schools in England, and how the selection process isn't entirely fair. For example, two of my friends applied to Oxbridge (both had 43/45 IB points - which is incredibly high), and none of them even got invited for an interview. Both of them are German. I'm not saying it's impossible, because there are international students at Oxbridge, but it's just *a lot* harder - and the fact that their selection process is so biased is really unfair. Not trying to put you off, but go in with low expectations. Also, if you're interested in the article, just search for it on Google - I'm sure there's plenty of articles talking about the biased Oxbridge selection process.
voldemort as an EU (French) student at Cambridge, coming from a state school and knowing a few internationals, I don’t agree with this. What’s harder is navigating your way through the application process - you have to learn how to do a PS in your own, translate your transcripts, get a decent reference, know what they expect at interviews. It helps massively if you have teachers/relatives/friends who know the system, but there’s also a lot of information online. As for grade requirements, it depends on the course but they’re insanely high anyway, that’s the idea (although I’d add that they do consider your whole application; for example, interviews are a lot more about how you process new information than about what you know). Heard it was harder for Dutch students though!
voldemort ...not, really...many international students do get in, BUT, no matter where you are from you have to be an outstanding student!....Oxbridge does not take mediocre intellects.....Sometimes students think they much better than they really are, but the reality hits them when faced with an intellectual challenge....Indeed, most UK universities would welcome international students, since they pay much more than UK/EU students, so if they can pass intellectual entry bar, then, no problem!
@@Voldemorti Oxbridge are public funded universities hence it's only natural for their primary mission to be educating British students. There is nothing biased about that. Hence, only a limited number of international students can be admitted, and every year there are tens of thousands of top students from all over the world competing for those limited places. If one is not granted an interview it's only logical to assume that there are just too many other international students with better grades. As a result, the universities have to make a differentiation on how students achieve their grades such as the number of hours spent volunteering at charities, to separate the super high achievers from those who only got excellent grades through never ending study.
@@remlatzargonix1329 yea, it is absolutely a given that you have to be an exceptional student. However, 43/45 points definitely qualifies as being exceptional, and there are several people who have gotten into Oxbridge with less than 43 points.
Hi Paige Happy to hear ur back in action n dont have to deal with ur broken cycle and that paper cut record matches mine....10 days in a row on almost every finger😂 Love from India😊😊❤
Paige pls make videos like you used to pls add some of your studying clips it was a motivation for us to study and I used to look forward to watch your videos and get motivated Pls include your studying clips
Hi, I started following you a few days ago, and i LOVE your daily vlog, I wanted to ask you: Could you make a video in which you show us the questions or exercises for example that the teachers assign you? it would be very interesting!!
Hey PaigeY. I'm looking to start media at Coventry University within the next couple of years, what was it like for you when you started, so I know what to expect when I do get started at university? How easy was it to settle in and what would be the first thing to prioritise when courses start?
Hi! Love your videos! Could you do one explaining how college and lectures work there in Cambridge. I am from Spain and I am curious it looks different from uni here.
Hi Paige, i have one question. Im not very familiar with the british education system, but I've noticed that you never have oral exams. Am I mistaken? I'm from Italy and here there are many oral exams. Good luck with uni!
Dipende dalle materie che si studiano. Dato che lei fa astrofisica gli esami sono perlopiù scritti, però se ad esempio studi economia o letteratura ci sono anche esami orali, è così anche al liceo inglese.
11:54 these are my thoughts exactly. If I am given a chance to relive the last two years of school - language is the path for me please! Guess God has different plans for us and well thought out plans , so no regrets 😁
Honestly science gets soooo much better at GCSE. I took my chem GCSE early (long story) but then had to do it in Y9 and I hated it even though it was my fave subject lol
Hi Paige, is there a chance you’ll do a vlog segment at Emma (if you know anyone there). I have my offer to read Engineering there and seeing the college on your vlog would be a nice way to get motivated :))
Too much interesting and unprecedented video as well as you are looking the cutest fairy and having seen your sandwich my mouth is watering and it's 3 pm in India but it sooth that you are looking like a fairy.
Hi! I just wanted to inform you that languages and sciences can be compatible ! I'm currently in Master's degree of Scientific and Technical Translations in France, they are not complicated scientific courses as you are studying, but it's still nice ! :)
Proof the Paige is a wondergirl
