Four generations of dancers, dozens of scenes, three continents, audiences upset. The whales singing at the opening of the curtain, the voice-over of a talking actress, the pale white light, and the energy transformed into a sheaf of sweat. Texan, lives beyond the interpreters who have accompanied her, beyond time she crosses the ages. Hands on the table, Erika, Anne, Veronique, Roxana, Isabelle, Sabrina, this woman is Texane. The dance invades, we drown, I breathe. Energy? Violence ? Body-to-body? I answer matter, I hear life, live, live, live again and again by this dance that surprises and questions. It passes, it goes through, to be oneself or another, to be a vector of a choreography, a work. Self-forgetfulness projects out of time and March 18, 1988 becomes today. Art is timeless, even dated, even History, the work is a world apart, an entity in its own right that lives and ages with maturity, children, memories and present.
Dance Texane, today. What can remind us of what we were dancing thirty years ago? What were our concerns? It was yesterday. Today, there is this man with the skin rubbed on the carpet of the scenes and crossed by the eyes of the public. Texane and these "little girls" who Valerie, Sophie, Agnes in Yolande, Fabienne, Esther and Ingrid, finally took the features of another.
The duel of the two generations of men: the mature man and the boy, exists, he has always existed, on stage as in this reality that we suppose. Frank to Nick, Ernest, Stéphane and Christian to Gaël, Steven and Martin another "little boy" will enter the role and "adult" will remain the same, changed in his body unchanged in his being.
