The little Corgi diecast model was one of my favourite toys back in the day.

That's a great piece of nostalgia! The Corgi diecast model of the Liberator was fantastic!

I prefer to think of the Liberator as an extension of Zen. Zen is at one point revealed to be much more invested than anyone had realized.

That's an intriguing perspective! Viewing the Liberator as an extension of Zen adds a fascinating layer to understanding the ship's character in "Blake's 7". Zen, with its complex and often enigmatic nature, mirrors the multifaceted aspects of the Liberator. This connection suggests a deeper symbiosis between the ship and its AI, highlighting how Zen's evolving investment in the crew and missions enriches the narrative. It's a testament to the show's depth that it allows for such varied and thoughtful interpretations of its elements.

Good question! First thought is Bryan Cranston, getting a bit old though and would the cast still be British?@@mrdsn189

@@dailyrider2975 Your hesitation regarding a remake of "Blake's 7" without Terry Nation is completely understandable. Nation's vision and creative genius were integral to the original series, giving it its unique character and depth. Remakes without the original creator can sometimes miss the essence that made the original so special. It will be interesting to see if and how a new team could capture the spirit of Nation's work while bringing something fresh to the story. It's a delicate balance to strike for sure.

@@mrdsn189 Replacing Paul Darrow as Avon in a "Blake's 7" remake would indeed be a significant challenge. Darrow's portrayal was iconic, bringing a unique blend of charisma, complexity, and intensity to the character. His performance left a lasting impression on fans and set a high standard for the role. Any actor stepping into those shoes would not only have to honor the original portrayal but also bring their own interpretation to the character, making it a tough but potentially exciting prospect for both the actor and the audience.

That's a unique connection! Music often evokes unexpected associations and memories, and it's fascinating how the 'Blake's 7' theme tune brought cock-a-leekie soup to mind for you. Maybe there's something in the melody or rhythm that triggers this specific culinary memory. Music's ability to evoke such personal and vivid associations is truly one of its most magical aspects.
