By far the most overlooked villain to ever exist. Especially that part where he actually straight up sends your party to hell. He is intimidating, charming, and is the perfect Paper Mario villain in my opinion.

The parallels between The Ultimate Show and It's Showtime! are so perfect. Multiple lines and phrases repeat between the pair, but the best examples are the ones that change slightly between them. "Strike back at the norm" becomes "rewrite the norm" and "just out of grasp" becomes "within my grasp". You can see how it's the same maniac singing one after the other. His words become more confident and deranged. It's crafted wonderfully and I don't see enough people talking about it.

It really is such a shame that "Dimentio: Master of Dimensions" never got sped up or altered or anything for a battle theme, since it sounds so much better for Dimentio than "It's Showtime". It's downright criminal that it never plays during combat to hype it up. Side note, I never pictured Dimentio to have this voice, so I'm impressed that Alex does it so well. The "Shag is all Luigi!" bit is hilarious to me, even years later. "We perform, strike back at the norm, of running right and jumping." Looks like somebody read Nintendo's pitch for the gameplay. Too bad fans hated it... :( "Onward, Dimentio!" I love how blatant the foreshadowing to "The Ultimate Show" is, given how it was covered first. It's giving me Prequel Star Wars vibes: Yes, we know where the end lies, but the road there that can afford to poke fun at said ending is still entertaining. It makes sense that Dimentio is all like "You'll see...", since getting to that point in his plan is what's on his mind.
YO *S A M E* Although, I unfortunately never had the honor of playing this game when I was a kid, BUT I did watch a RUclipsr LP it a few years back (and got obsessed i may add--) and I know and love pretty much everything about the game, *especially* the characters and villains! Out of jevil, marx, and dimentio. The ladder seems to be the strongest. He's the most sane. And has actually demonstrated his power to the fullest. He's also probably the "evilest" going by their plans.. Jevil wants to "play" with every one in the dark world. The game is his numbers game he plays with the lightners, so its assumed he wanted to kill. (But for why exactly?) However jevil fails quite quickly. And gets locked up for 100 years before Kris and co. Fight him. Marx wants to take over popstar. By manipulating kirby at the beginning of milky way wishes, he gets the sun and moon to fight. Gets kirby to gather the star power of 7 nearby planets. Then steals kirby's wish with NOVA. He almost succeeds by ditching kirby in space. But ends up getting defeated by kirby. (Marx's soul had the full intent of fighting and killing kirby. But fails again) Dimentio wants to destroy all worlds, to create the perfect world, and rule over it. And he gets very close. Manipulating many people during the story. And tricking even more, including the player, by making them think count bleck is the final boss. He even (almost) kills luigi after being taken down by the great green plumber, then fuses with Luigi and the chaos heart to become invincible. Nearly completes the destruction of worlds. But ultimately fails at the very end due to the power of the pure heart.. (Also forget geno. I want dimentio in smash.)
My headcanon is that Dimentio actually succeeded in reforming the world, and that is why you get the changes in Sticker Star and onward of terrible games obsessed with paper.

Ah, you know, the evil, insane clown with dimension-changing properties who is the hardest fight in the game (sooner or later). I've never seen that before *_EXCEPT A COUPLE MILLION TIMES_* ! Seriously, why is it so common?
Its mostly the chaos. The unruly nature of them, a fight against them is more about having fun, at least for the enemy. While fighting these chaotic clowns, the enemy is always having fun, they are a being that doesnt care if they lose or not. They are here to have fun, which, makes the character more fun. Also with them you can make a fun battle theme that is not "epic hardships you face with" theme.
Because they’re so much fun (pun intended) I mean c’mon, if anything the fact that they’re still enjoyable when it’s been done so many times speaks for itself.

And I thought the lyrical cover of “ The World Revolving “ was great- this is SO much better!! Super Paper Mario was one of my more recent playthroughs, although I still feel deeply satisfied and reminiscent whenever I hear a song from it!! You pieced together his character so perfectly- all the way down to his incredibly nihilistic tendencies and his deep obsession of creating a perfect world,, I sometimes get berated by others in the Mario fandom for the sheer praise I give this villain,, but the truth is? Dimentio is my favorite character. His aesthetic is perfect, the way he hides his insanity behind a metaphorical and literal mask of happiness, and your voice shows it in sadistic showmanship and makes him 10x better than he already is.
All these people saying that Dimentio is the second Jevil, or any other variation comparing Dimentio to Jevil, have all grown up the wrong way. And I feel sorry for them. Dimentio came first. They shouldn't be compared to begin with, but if they're going to be, people should be talking about how Jevil was potentially inspired by Dimentio. Dimentio is the most gleeful nihilist ever; he’s singing of perdition, suffering, despair, and the end of worlds, and his voice is nothing but THRILLED about it. The world is poisoned with tragedy, and he couldn’t be happier to indulge in making it worse simply because of how amusing he finds it all.
Who’s this Jevil rip off? Just kidding, Super Paper Mario was among the first games I ever played so I have a ton nostalgia for the game. I’m even more excited because of the fact that this game has fire music, I think you could really do it justice. Can’t wait to hear how this turns out. It really is such a shame that "Dimentio: Master of Dimensions" never got sped up or altered or anything for a battle theme, since it sounds so much better for Dimentio than "It's Showtime". It's downright criminal that it never plays during combat to hype it up.
Side note, I never pictured Dimentio to have this voice, so I'm impressed that Alex does it so well.

It's giving me Prequel Star Wars vibes: Yes, we know where the end lies, but the road there that can afford to poke fun at said ending is still entertaining. It makes sense that Dimentio is all like "You'll see...", since getting to that point in his plan is what's on his mind.

Out of jevil, marx, and dimentio. The ladder seems to be the strongest. He's the most sane. And has actually demonstrated his power to the fullest. He's also probably the "evilest" going by their plans..
Jevil wants to "play" with every one in the dark world. The game is his numbers game he plays with the lightners, so its assumed he wanted to kill. (But for why exactly?) However jevil fails quite quickly. And gets locked up for 100 years before Kris and co. Fight him.
Marx wants to take over popstar. By manipulating kirby at the beginning of milky way wishes, he gets the sun and moon to fight. Gets kirby to gather the star power of 7 nearby planets. Then steals kirby's wish with NOVA. He almost succeeds by ditching kirby in space. But ends up getting defeated by kirby. (Marx's soul had the full intent of fighting and killing kirby. But fails again)
Dimentio wants to destroy all worlds, to create the perfect world, and rule over it. And he gets very close. Manipulating many people during the story. And tricking even more, including the player, by making them think count bleck is the final boss. He even (almost) kills luigi after being taken down by the great green plumber, then fuses with Luigi and the chaos heart to become invincible. Nearly completes the destruction of worlds. But ultimately fails at the very end due to the power of the pure heart.. (Also forget geno. I want dimentio in smash.)
HOW DAER U! Geno is superior in every aspect.
My headcanon is that Dimentio actually succeeded in reforming the world, and that is why you get the changes in Sticker Star and onward of terrible games obsessed with paper.

Its mostly the chaos.
The unruly nature of them, a fight against them is more about having fun, at least for the enemy.
While fighting these chaotic clowns, the enemy is always having fun, they are a being that doesnt care if they lose or not. They are here to have fun, which, makes the character more fun.
Also with them you can make a fun battle theme that is not "epic hardships you face with" theme.

Dimentio is my favorite character. His aesthetic is perfect, the way he hides his insanity behind a metaphorical and literal mask of happiness, and your voice shows it in sadistic showmanship and makes him 10x better than he already is.

All these people saying that Dimentio is the second Jevil, or any other variation comparing Dimentio to Jevil, have all grown up the wrong way. And I feel sorry for them.
Dimentio came first. They shouldn't be compared to begin with, but if they're going to be, people should be talking about how Jevil was potentially inspired by Dimentio.

This is amazing! Its just- AMAZING! I dont know what to say. The "dimentio will return" at the end has me hyped for more. It's hard (at least for me) to find really good super paper Mario stuff that isn't just fanart (nothing against it, it's just stuff like this is so amazing).

Dimentio is the most gleeful nihilist ever; he’s singing of perdition, suffering, despair, and the end of worlds, and his voice is nothing but THRILLED about it. The world is poisoned with tragedy, and he couldn’t be happier to indulge in making it worse simply because of how amusing he finds it all.
Who’s this Jevil rip off? Just kidding, Super Paper Mario was among the first games I ever played so I have a ton nostalgia for the game. I’m even more excited because of the fact that this game has fire music, I think you could really do it justice. Can’t wait to hear how this turns out.
Edit: right after watching the premiere I can confidently say that this 100% lived up to my expectations. (Also, “Dimentio will return”, what is this? The MCU?) Edit 2: right after making the MCU joke I listened again and heard the Infinity War reference at the beginning.

So good I'm having trouble deciding which I like better: this or the ultimate show. In terms of instrumental, I've always preferred the ultimate show, but the choice between lyrical versions is harder because of just how perfectly each was done. Well done!
