  • I have been wanting a legit holding oven for my BBQ cooks for quite awhile and finally I found this Vevor hot box warming oven that will do a perfect job holding briskets, pork butts, etc. for as long as you need to hold them with precision temperature holding abilities. In this video I do an in depth review showing why this is a lot of bang for the buck. I encourage you to watch start to finish to understand the value for not only backyard BBQ, but year round with any big cookout, party or holiday meals.

    Thanks Rus! - That's a great unit, and yes, "the price is right" (even in Canada!).
    I used to host large family gaterings (~20) and ended up with a pile of warming trays which worked, but took up a lot of counter space - this unit - stacking vertically - would have been awesome.

    Sir, I enjoyed watching your video on the Vevor food warmer PTC thermometer method for holding temperature. I smoke a lot of brisket/ bbq and I received my 19X19X29 food warmer this afternoon. I returned another brand food warmer that read 30 degrees over my desired temperature, I contacted the manufacturer and they just told me to use a thermometer to read the temperature.

    I read the first and second self from the bottom is 30 degrees different from set temperature

    • @SmokyRibsBBQ
      @SmokyRibsBBQ  3 месяца назад

      I only checked where the unit reads temperature at the top and it was dead on accurate with the reading. Heat goes up so naturally the lower half will be cooler, but with it loaded with food, the temps should fall closer in line from top to bottom after everything has time to equalize in temps. This unit holds extremely accurate temps but as I said in the video, you are going to get different temps at different locations. That’s just physics and nothing you can do about that

  • @marcusw4367
    @marcusw4367 2 месяца назад +1

    If you don’t use water in the bottom of the unit, does it pull moisture out of the unit? I know when you put hot food in a enclosed warmer you get a lot of condensation so the big question is does keep dry heat when you need it?

    • @SmokyRibsBBQ
      @SmokyRibsBBQ  2 месяца назад

      It's electric heat so it is a dry heat. Hot food will put off steam when it goes in, but depending on how long you leave the food in the warmer dictates if it will dry out or not. I do bbq, so the food I add is wrapped tightly with foil which will also keep it moist. If you plan to add anything uncovered for a long period of time, I would suggest using the supplied water reservoir to keep the environment in the warmer moist.

    A tip for removing the laser guard (plastic) from stainless; The first thing is have a bit of Go-Jo, or some sort of citrus spray intended for removing glue. The next thing is to use a sharpened pc of copper to do all of the cutting. Using copper with highly reduce the risk of scratching your stainless. Working at a sheet metal custom fab shop for the past 15 yrs, these are the methods that we use and they work fantastically.

    If I have a wired thermometer probe I would like to use for monitoring would they be able to run out of the front of door? Would I need to install gasket or drill a hole in side for a probe grommet?

    • @SmokyRibsBBQ

      Yes, I ran mine out the front door in this video easily. Not sure if you watched that part but I placed it right beside the probe in the top and it read identical so I no longer monitor it. I trust the built in thermometer.

    Hi Russ! I was wondering how you’re liking your vevor warmer. I’m considering the 19x19x29. Is that the one you have? I’m looking for something that can fit 4 briskets. Do you think yours could accommodate that? Wasn’t sure if the distance between shelves would allow that. I really enjoy your RUclips videos. Keep up the good work. Any feedback you have on the vevor warmer is appreciated. Thank you sir!

I can pay a decent amount. But not enough to include overhead for the bosses extravagant life style. Or keep family members on the payroll who are not needed for the company to keep things rolling.
