If I up and left the uk for 6 years, how would I find out if my debt was wiped? Also what legal repercussions would I face?

I was just curious what could any European country do if you took out a massive loan and then just moved to the likes of Russia ?? Do they have any incentives/permissions to chase you?

I’m not sure but I don’t think they can arrest you in Russia there’s a famous footballer Quincy Promes who’s wanted for attempted murder and assisting in a drug operation he moved to Russia and still plays professionally he’s completely untouchable as long as he never leaves

If a loan was taken out in a Middle East area like Saudi or Dubai and once loan was got a person came back to EU or Oz can they pursue?

Hi @mikeyodea9167! The rules might be different in the countries you mentioned, but it's possible that debt collectors will follow you if the debt is sold to a collection agency in your new location.

What if a massive loan was taken in uk and the person leaves uk and moves to india permanently do they have any right to find the person or arrest him in india?

You have to look if India is a non extradition country.

Hello there i still have to pay £3000 to sky as monthly installments for my iphone and ipad, but moved to india as my UK visa expired. Will i be subjected to any debt collection in india.
