My first new car was a 1968 Roadrunner. That car was part of testimony. I was beaten to death in that car in 69 and a girl from our neighborhood who was divorce and so was I. On our first date she drove me to a church back where I was beaten to death and April 12 1985 I gave my life and was Born again.
What a beautiful congregation of believers. Thank You Jesus Christ of Nazareth for this fellowship.

Interesting that I’m listening to this on 10-19-23 and of course you can definitely see the connection between this chapter and today.

Excellent teaching as always. In some cases though the nature of the abuse is does require that the abused needs to leave for their own safety and life . Not all cases is there necessarily a fault on the side of the one being abused or hurt.

Another thing about this story in scripture is to not let your wives or the woman lead in the relationship between you two.

Could (genesis 16:2) be a punishment for Sarai and Abram for not trusting Gods directive and allowing their fear manifest making a decision (genesis 12:12-13) that was not part of Gods plan?

I am a little confused, why would God want to change the abused and not the situation or the abuser?

In chapter 16:9 It says:
Then, the “angel” of the Lord told her “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.”
The angel added, “I will so increase your descendants that they will be too numerous to count.”
You kind of just go over that and then say that the angel is really God himself based on how it’s written.
That’s very confusing to me. Why would it say the angel of the Lord if it is got himself?
watch his chapter 16 one and most liekely he covers that.
Would love to go deeper in verse three, sarai gave Abram her husband to be the husband of other woman wife how is that , no marry but a wife
