It's great to see this, sometimes looking at Conor now as great and entertaining as he is its always nice to go back to the essence. The early days. i love the part where he said that somewhere down the line he wanted a 5 round war. And when Ariel asked him who could give that to him he said nobody. And then he said, "at least in the featherweight division." Which is totally true because he mopped the floor with every featherweight he fought. It wasn't until he fought diaz at 170 that he got his 5 round war. It just shows how good this guy is at assessing and predicting things. Everything he visualizes is so accurate and it all almost happens to a tee.

Ariel has the skill to ask important questions according to how an interview "transitions". Rarely interupting a guest, he allows the story to get told "first person". Conor is an extraordinary young man, clearly evident in this interview. An hour long, but so appreciated.
"i do want a good five-round war down the line" "so who do you think can give that to you?" "i don't think there is a guy that can give me a war like that, not in the featherweight division atleast" that aged so well lol, he was right tho
21.37: Only Irish people will get this one. When Conor was talking about working as an apprentice plumber, he referred to the job he was working in as being "out the country". Dublin people think Ireland consists of two places. 1. Dublin. 2. Out The Country (everywhere else). I worked in Dublin years ago and loved it. People knew me as "That work experience student. You know him - Yourman from down the country"! Brilliant time and they were amazing to me.
Crazy how he is kind of a different more brash version of himself today but you can see here the younger determined McGregor a couple years ago had a phenomenal attitude and knew what he was truly capable of . He is a very intelligent guy a lot of people over look that .
I remember watching this interview the day it came out..I think I'm one of the rare ones that has been a Conor fan since cage warriors..prob one of the most inspiring people I've followed in my life
Kinda prophetic with him talking about how he wants both the early seconds KO and the 5 round war down the line. I guess he got both with Aldo and Diaz2.
Haddon Donaghue he probably is man, thats why i sense lots more realness back them. but the old era of mcgregor was always my favourite if you get what i mean.

This fanboy mcgregor is the Conor that the community fell in love with, the person who stood in front of his home crowd & inspired people, he spoke truth, he achieved the unthinkable, & now he has to try visualise himself before this successful career & think about what he is doing it for, to live to achieve dreams, be the best fighter in the world. If he beats cerrone I think it would be crazy if he could fight at Celtic football stadium, in Scotland of course but the Irish are just two steps away, it would be the best atmosphere any MMA fan would see.
they released it two years ago. they seem to remove their videos from RUclips after about a year. All videos are available on mmafighting.com if you know what to look for.
you really get a sense of how long Conor's arms are in this video, as their swinging by his side while dressed in normal clothes. A large armpsan to body height ratio helps a lot in MMA.
yup, just look at Jon Jones. 6'4 with a 7 foot wingspan. Has a bball players build. Thats why i always say if mma ever starts paying enuff to attracting NBA type caliber athletes, it will be a whole different story. Just imagine if someone like Lebron or Giannis had trained mma their whole lives instead of bball. Would easily be heavyweight champ stacked up against the current heavyweight rosters
Murray Herts the goat means not loosing. ...maybe the most influential, but he hasnt even defended a belt. lets be real. before aldo lost (at the end of his carreer) he defended the belt like 10 times, big diffirence
hasnt defended a belt but won 2 belts at the same time in 2 organizations! You can consider that better than a defense. Its bs he has taken 500 days off especially since he fought floyd but it is what it is. He changed the game and became one of the richest men in the world in 4 years

This is so inspiring. I've been always into boxing/fighting/grappling even though I was professionaly training hockey. I fought with people who tried bullying in school without fear.I spared with friends other teammates etc. I was living in a small town didn't have a MMA/ boxing club there so I opened up something like my own club in my basement. Got friends coming in other people who trained box/kickboxing and I found that i was really talented because I was winning with people who trained in the gym before and people who didn't. This year im training in the gym trying to start fighting amateur then get into professional.
Conor really seems like a great guy. people base their opinions on how he is during the press conferences, but thats stupid to do. hes in a totally different state of mind during that, verses how he is in a video like this.

My two favourite people in the MMA world. Absolute gem of a video, Helwani is a fantastic interviewer and Conor is great at being Conor
Ariel has the skill to ask important questions according to how an interview "transitions". Rarely interupting a guest, he allows the story to get told "first person". Conor is an extraordinary young man, clearly evident in this interview. An hour long, but so appreciated.
"i do want a good five-round war down the line"
"so who do you think can give that to you?"
"i don't think there is a guy that can give me a war like that, not in the featherweight division atleast"
that aged so well lol, he was right tho
Everything in this interview aged well. Mystic Mac
70 zexii Actually Nate Diaz
This man always seems to bring out the best in McGregor, I enjoy their conversations.
I love his authenticity
When Ariel's shoes came into shot 😬😬😬
Was thinking the same thing xd
ikr i was like, WHAT ARE THOSEEEEE 😂
hahahaha
Bodyslammingpixels lol right on
What's the time stamp ?
I thought this was a recent video 😭
Jack Lidge same but still nice to get a little insight into his thoughts
SupremeSML yeah true, I'm still watching it though 💪🏽
It was good to see Conor in his raw form, before he fully made it.
Finished it too
Jack Lidge nah He was still at 145, look how lean he looks
Loved listening to this, particularly about his struggles and overcome. This guy is just a lot more relatable after this interview.
A double breasted suit with jeans. What are you doing Ariel?
Reece Beauchamp and those green shoes.. wow
With neon green colored sneakers to boot!
he should have been arrested for outraging public decency
^^^^^^ OST SWEINEN**** >> Here is Spotted him
No it's not.
Ariel those shoes.... you have a wife...kids...
Ikr
Bryan A I
When?
lmfao.
seems legit, subbed
Crazy how he is kind of a different more brash version of himself today but you can see here the younger determined McGregor a couple years ago had a phenomenal attitude and knew what he was truly capable of . He is a very intelligent guy a lot of people over look that .
Conor always 💯 real doesn't avoid avoid any subject fully detailed and answers calmly.
51:40 He knew something like DIAZ II was coming, amazing
This man is motivation for all fighters all over the world , the real motivation!
MrNgalani truth. you related to Alain ?
from nothing, to something, to everything.
To sucker punching an old man and breaking your hand.
@@wesker1079 lol
Sylar that was publicity was fake
@@whatagiiggle2209 doubt it bro.
Sylar it’s to bring him back into tabloids and lime light for his return pretty certain a could be wrong was just what a was led to believe m8
The man being interviewed here is no more.
He is so real, what you see is what you get 100%...
I remember watching this interview the day it came out..I think I'm one of the rare ones that has been a Conor fan since cage warriors..prob one of the most inspiring people I've followed in my life
same
Same try 32
Who's here after Conor beat Cerone?
It was a good fight, wished it lasted longer tho
Yep I’ve come from the future round 2, 3rd min knockout, mark my word, great victory for him.
Doctor stoppage
What a fight! Probably one of the best that I have seen
@@lewisjh8962
Indeed all. It was nice to see the old Conor again.
Like wine, this art has aged well.
Consider it done.
Great Interview - you can't help but Love this guy
what a guy
Watching this in November 2021. The come up is always the best. Great times.
Kinda prophetic with him talking about how he wants both the early seconds KO and the 5 round war down the line. I guess he got both with Aldo and Diaz2.
Conors a lot more real, innocent and humble here compared to nowadays, thats what fame does.
Manny Jhutty 💯
This is away from the big lights and cameras, of course he sells it to the big media. He's the same person still behind doors
Haddon Donaghue he probably is man, thats why i sense lots more realness back them. but the old era of mcgregor was always my favourite if you get what i mean.
***** i 100% know that, i just feel like he has to up the gimmick everytime theres a press conference and top himself
just like he said, hes trying to secure for his family. he knows talking markets the fight even more. more people = more money = retire earlier.
close to 10 years ago... time flies by
This is honestly one of the best interviews conducted Ariel; huge fan & admire everything youve done!
Love him or hate him this man is an inspiration that hard work and believing in your self can get you any where you want in your life #teammcgregor for life
Ah the Attitude era, It's like he brought it to MMA lol. Hard to knock like the guy.
Not so hard now.
i never did like him, even during this time, but i will say he was a much more sufferable person during this era than he is now
I'd love to have an updated version of this to see how much more confident he is.
Thanks for the content, Ariel. Best reporter in the biz.
I had given up on the UFC.... until I saw a clip of McGregor fighting...as far as I'm concerned he single handedly redeemed the whole sport.
It's mad to think two years later he basically owns Dublin now! 😂😂😂
Right? This wasn't a long time ago.
This was before Dana saved his bum life
Half of Dublin has never even heard of McGregor or MMA. Gobshite.
SRM geonerd calm down yes they have.
***** Hahaha. . Is that the best you can do? Brainless little skangbag. .
Question is...why did these guys wait 2 and a half years to drop this video?! LOL
AllSortsOfVideos because they had to get the rights......
They dropped it at the time. For some reason, they are dropping it again.
The dit not....
they released it two years ago. they seem to remove their videos from RUclips after about a year. All videos are available on mmafighting.com if you know what to look for.
He was a humble and gracious man! What happened? I wish this Connor was still with us.
He got lots of money that's what happened!
Conor does an amazing interview and you see the real man that he isshine through..
you really get a sense of how long Conor's arms are in this video, as their swinging by his side while dressed in normal clothes.
This is a great interview. So candid and real. Learnt so much about Connor in this one.
Conor seriously dropped some motivational bombs during the interview
Conor, from broke to the GOAT
Murray Herts the goat means not loosing. ...maybe the most influential, but he hasnt even defended a belt. lets be real. before aldo lost (at the end of his carreer) he defended the belt like 10 times, big diffirence
Murray Herts stfu
hasnt defended a belt but won 2 belts at the same time in 2 organizations! You can consider that better than a defense. Its bs he has taken 500 days off especially since he fought floyd but it is what it is. He changed the game and became one of the richest men in the world in 4 years
To broke again after the sue cases
GOAT! LOL NON DEFENDING PAPER CHAMP! MCTAPPER !! BUBBA TAPPING IT RIGHT NOW!! GTFOH!!
Who's here in 2020? This is the most authentic McGregor interview ever.
This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen.
53:23 "People are talking to me and in my head I'm counting something. I'm counting up a number or I'm knee-deep in a sequence on the mat or on the feet" ~CMcG
The Aura that Connor had at this time was absolutely insane ✨️
💯
So glad conor has humbled himself again. And today he beat the cowboy in great style..got to admire the guys guts. .
How did I miss this? What a great job. Both of you.
Thast great but hockey in ireland lol You would need to move to north america..I love hockey
"You can either let it eat you up or you can eat it up."
Dude spits out motivation like an Irish Patton.
The balance between his wild promos and this side of Conor was why he had so many fans back then.
It's sad that he's lost this side of himself
Still the man brother
Conor really seems like a great guy. people base their opinions on how he is during the press conferences, but thats stupid to do. hes in a totally different state of mind during that, verses how he is in a video like this.
Tai Lopez doesnt mean hes a totally different person
he is humble but the more trash talk you do then the haters will buy more payperviews, he learned from watching mayweather that more people will watch to see if you lose but in the end its more money
Cynthia Preston I lob ew. I fookin lob ew.
And now lol
You're a manbun fuckboi playin touchbutt in the park
Greatness recognizes greatness. Nothing else to say. Perfect and inspirational interview!
watches this at work and hearing conor talk about his visualization techniques and how he used the law of attraction is amazing
@c1981 lmaoo who crushed your dreams man😂😂 and let’s say i spent why whole like believing in a “scam” i still lived my life HAPPY, Thought positive thoughts and treated people the right way and say it all fails and isn’t real i didn’t lose anything.. on the other hand i’m under the assumption of your random, negative comment and u lived ur life being a hater and living on the negative side of the spectrum, thinking you know something nobody else does and thinking your right and smarter than everyone.. in a way we both think the way we go about life is right and works for us so we both aren’t wrong tbh
Helwani: "Who were your heroes growing up?"
McGregor: " I used to love Action Man"
facepalm xD
Livershot187 action man was the best
Action Man was a baller, mate
δm 26 yo, still got my Action Man figures with me :DD but my dad always thought i was gay because i let them fight naked. But to be honest, in my mind they looked like goku and picolo. The clothes were just annoying.
Who would of guessed.. the freaking action man! 😂😂
Yes first time khabib beats a big name of mma... Conor has 3 or 4
