Elaine (Julia) is everything the previous folks have mentioned, AND she's a Billionaire, heiress. Aren't we so lucky she selflessly chose acting as her avocation rather than wollowing in her Fathers wealth and being a nothing human being. To make things even better, she's an awesome actress.

Love the show, Love Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but at times, you KNOW the crew and writers, and director, and probably Larry David, are getting annoyed that she can't keep it together and keeps cracking up over, and over, and over. It's almost borderline unprofessional at times. Whatever though, you can tell they all had a BLAST doing the show all those years!

Canned laughter on the exterior shots - no "studio" audience.
They probably played them on the monitors while the audience was watching the taping. They do everything they can to keep them engaged, I'm sure they played the bloopers as well

You can see how annoying Michael Richards is here. He's mad people are having a good time on a comedy set. Clearly takes it too seriously and can't have made many friends. Never forget his infamous racist stand up, he never knew how to actually joke around

But the laughing kills the energy. Did you catch the part where he said, "The magic is happening?" He put a lot into his performances to bring Kramer to life. He didn't want good takes destroyed just because his co-workers couldn't keep their composure.
