I think if you take basic things from kitchen to toiletries, and all that jazz, you'll be fine You can always get anything you think you need later, don't feel the need to bring everything with you

I was a freshman last year and admittedly got a ton of compliments on my dorm decor and I really think the things that made it perfect were good lighting (I love twinkle lights or just cute lamps are great too) and greenery! and in my honest opinion, the more cute decor that you love, the better! it will feel like a little home away from home :)

Hi Ellie! I would really recommend trying to lessen your use of makeup wipes and disposable cotton rounds! I know you take measures to try and be more sustainable and this is an important way you can help! I have reusable and machine washable cotton rounds which work amazing and are way softer than normal ones or makeup wipes!! I also use a cleansing balm and double cleanse which has helped my remove makeup waaaaay better than makeup wipes ever could and without the irritation! Just a few tips :) Good luck starting school!! I also go to UA LOL
Such a helpful video!!! ALWAYS THE BEST VIBES!! I would definitely recommend not getting q-tips with plastic!! When you throw them away the cotton part disintegrates but the plastic stays and turns into micro pollution in the ocean!!!
definitely recommend a thick, comfy mattress topper to go with your mattress pad, you will be SO glad you did lol dorm beds are not comfy at all. i also recommend either getting a command hook or some sort of hooks to put right by your door so you can hang your keys/lanyard/id holder/etc. so you don't lose them and you don't forget them whenever you leave!!
You should get a jar and fill them with snacks so just in case you don’t wanna move from your dorm to eat you can just dig in your snack jar (I make videos ❤️🦋)

As someone who has graduated, I feel freshmen tend to put the effort into trivial things like decor and random things a lot more than actual important stuff, I was the same, everyone is but a mattress topper is definitely one of the most important things, you'll spend a hit ton of time in your bed :D

Just a suggestion, but there are many alternatives to makeup wipes that aren't nearly as harmful to the environment.
and also makeup wipes are bad for your skin lol
there are biodegradable make up wipes
You could try micellar with reusable cotton pads/rounds
Also instead of the one use cotton swabs you can try using reusable ones they are really easy to clean
