Now THATS what I call an A-B video ! Excellent video, MAGNIFICENT playing, and 100% love for your giving Lākland the spotlight ! My Lākland 55-02 is my go-to bass ! Liked and subscribed.
Thanks for the very well produced video! 😎👍 I think Lakland did a very good job developing their own pickups and preamp. Of course some of the tonal differences here can be attributed to slightly different woods, but overall their in-house hardware is doing a very nice and versatile job! 👍
just got my 55-94 recently with stock LH pickups which use alnico magnet. Base on this video, Bartolini ceramic pickup is what I'm looking for. Thank you for this great video 😎🤘
I am thrilled that I have 4 Lakland basses, one with Bartolinis, one with Lakland pickups, and two with LH3 preamps coupled with Delano and Nordstrand pickups.
great playing! a question for you, what to you have your mid frequency switches set to on the barts? i have a 55 94 deluxe i got in 2003... just curious how you set the selector, which you prefer. (i'm taking about the selector switch inside the cavity, a tiny box with two switches)
Both basses sound great. I have a 5502 and a Aguilar MM pick up but I can’t split the coils. Aguilar said they don’t make that way. So how did you do it.
The Aguilar is the bass amp head he is playing through. The green bass has lakland pickups and preamp whereas the burl has bartolini pickups and preamp. That's the comparison.
@@daltonbell2907 Yea the way he was displaying all the damn logos and info on the top was really confusing. Took me pausing the video a number of times to decipher what the hell he was telling me. His playing is absurdly good though, so I'll forgive him I suppose!
The basses sound awesome because the bassist playing them is phenomenal!!!

My face started melting at 0:42! WOW those barts sound great!

BOY YOU CAN PLAY
Well dang! I need them both now! 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome test Tamas. 👍👍👍 The green one wins the prize 💪👍
Jól tolod Tomikám..Legyen jó éved ! Üdv! Daniel
Both are great but I prefer the Buckeye burl one, less spiky and a bit more mid. More versatile one but the pearl green one is great too
like the 99 sound a little better! ...the playing is outstanding!
Awesome..!!!💯 I like both basses
My lord that 99 is bad ass man! I'm a stingray guy so that right up my alley!! I.may need one now!!
Awesome sound!
Absolute monster tone and playing

Thanks for the video and lovely playing. From what I can hear Barts have better mids and deffinition, especially B string.
Which one do you preffer?
Kegyetlen jó sound, a játékról nem is beszélve!💥
That’s some serious funk!😊
Just picked up a 55 02 all black i effen love it!! This video sold me all the way!! I would love a 94 with the barts tho
Yo, how did you get that slap tone out that Lakland? That think is smackin.

Hmm, to my ears I can't tell much difference at all. Nice demo! Thanks
Buckeye Burl 🔥🔥
Wonderful, Tamas. Are those the Cobalt strings?
Yepp 8-)
Nice Nice 😻😻😻
Hello, what was the Mid freq on the bartolini?
Tone!

I believe you have it backwards. The green is the 99 with Barts pickups and pre, while the 2020 burl has the Lakland LH3 pickups and pre.
I say add three single coil pickups throw out the preamp and wire it like a Gibson Grabber G3.
Ey, that Marcus Miller´s "Rampage" song is great.
Both basses are nice. But your playing is whats up.you make the basses.
Dude, can you please play MM ➕ Neck FINGERSTYLE?!?
That’s what most of us bass players are interested in hearing.
Show...
Tomika írj már rám, ha nem kell semmi akkor is! ;) :D Turnéaranyos.... ;)
