Thank you to the CSIA for the short radius technical comparison between several different nations. Clearly the most fluid turns (complete with early edging) are done by Japan and Korea. What separates them from the other nations is the combination of flexing and tipping to the new edges to release in transition as opposed to extending to release. Two other nations, namely Germany and Sweden, demonstrate a similar release but not nearly as refined as the previously mentioned two nations. It is a major step forward however that the CSIA is prepared to compare the Canadian technique (extending to release) with the obviously more advanced technique of the Japanese and Koreans. Where was Nadine? The other Swiss? I miss them all they ski so good and their cheese is excellent.

the intention of the video is comparisons. When comparing nationality You can see clear national trends in their country's philosophy of learning ski technique. It starts with diet and every skier in this video is starved for cheese. they need Nadine there... she always has cheese in her pocket willing and ready to share with people and tell them of it's cheezy origin in her families barn. Once nourished and entertained you will slice it up to keep up with cat and mouse chase games into cheese grater formations. You can see clearly my bias is from experience. they all ski well but we all need refreshed input from some one like Nadine that energizes you and makes you perform as gracefully as you can convince yourself to and can reasonably expect to duplicate consistently.

I like the USA for once. Great Britain also looks surprisingly good.

If you like it keep it, that skiing is the worst.

This skiing is horrendous late hard hits, upper body rotation, no snow contact or arcing. Nothing I want to watch again thank you.

Hi Harold. Once again... you lack tact. Lacking a functional working understanding of learning systems disqualifies you from tenure... again...

Theses are the best in the world? Every one of the demonstrators shows J-turns where they load the skis at the end of the turn. The USA skiers were a little better at turn initiation but were really demonstrating open slalom type turns and not short radius.
Right now the best technical skier in the world is probably Mikaela Shiffrin and these female skiers need to study how Mikaela loads her skis at the beginning of the turn. All of the demonstrators are skidders, not steerers, and certainly not carvers.
Lastly, the Korean and Japanese women are still doing their narrow stance locked skis and wide open pole plants method. The Korean and Japanese demonstration teams need to do some serious rethinking about their ski techniques.

      Interski is not alpineski.
That's what we do narrow stance more. We consider good shape(form) and movement. So arms are upward and feet are narrow.
Each country have different style. That's it.

@@dan9erousman The goal is to share information and cultural ties between skiers everywhere. Each different style is affectations that mimic sincere movement for movements sake. True function is an expression of the joy of free falling with certainty, Special relativity .
