Not only is your content EXCELLENT, not only is you comedic timing incredible, but something about the way you communicate just makes me like you. There is an X-Factor, and I think you are awesome.
I love GFI algorythms. That Spatium reverb is the best I've ever heard. My Orca just came in yesterday and will be alongside my Skylar. Time to mingle a bit 👍 Thanks Sasha! Ps - where do you get your drum tracks from?
I went through some reverb pedals over the years, from Marshall to the RV-6, Mooer to Walrus Slö. At one point a had the Skylar and it was the first reverb that really blew me away. It had some minor querks and two presets for having 4 algorhythms was a bummer, I would´ve kept it otherwise. First demo of the SpaceForce and I was sold. When I got it, it blew me away the same way the Skylar did, but didn´t had the querks of the GFI. They both are truly amazing for sure! It´s just a matter of what fits better to your playing. I would like to have the rewind, but am not sure how to justify it while beeing happy with my DD500... But hey, Christmas is on it´s way 🙂
Thanks for this video. Excellent overview of two pedals (Rewind and Orca) that have been bugging me as to what to get. A really nice and to the point comparison.
The Alexander pedals have a great interface. I loved everything about the Space Force, but it can't compete with the huge ambient sounds of GFI and other flagship reverbs. As an experimental small form reverb with many options, it's excellent. For those endless beautiful sounds, I'd go GFI or something else.
Really really love Alexander. I love every pedal I’ve bought from them. Only sold my wavelength because I’m not a huge fan of modulation, but it says something that Alexander got me to buy a modulation pedal 😂
GFI still uses the Spin FV-1 DSP, which is almost 20 years old now. They are using it to its limits and their pedals sound good, but I feel silly buying a new FV-1 pedal in 2023. Alexander now uses the FXCore DSP which is way more powerful and better sounding imo
Love my GFI Specular Tempus. I never use the delay algorithms though since i have a Timeline for that. I love the Plate, and Spadium algorithm so much. Ive been thinking about trying out an Empress Reverb, but now i have to check out Alexander Space Force. The Rewind already blew my mind when i saw it on Mark Johnston's channel. Both sound amazing, and i like the smaller footprint in comparison to a Timeline and a Specular Tempus.
GFI Skylar! The Space Force reverb trails almost sound distorted or like they are clipping on every setting; it doesn't get real clean to my ears. The Skylar sounds better IMO.
Dude, that's exactly what I thought. I owned it and it always would get a subtle white noise sound and broke up my signal. I went to the website and updated the firmware. No help. I had to sell it. I always wondered if I got a bad unit.
I prefer the GFI ...I am a singer song writer but not your typical one that uses the 3 chord etc. accompaniment. I have a back ground from Prog Rock where I often am playing complex riffs and intermingled with flat picking chord constantly moving. I find an pedal with too much complexity too busy as my playing is indeed busy. Delays are worry some as I can have for example a delayed G landing on a G#. For reverb I often stay with a Plate as it literately only has 2 reflections not hundreds The GFI I find is just tame enough especially on slower temps to work. I find most of these ambiance effects unusable as they compete with my playing. An effect should not result with the 'tail wagging the dog'.
Both reverbs lose by a million miles to the Free The Tone Ambi Space Reverb. That's the best reverb on planet earth. Having said that, the tremble verb on the Skylar does sound incredible!

Absolutely phenomenal playing and tones! Both sound great in your hands!

Very moving and beautiful solo!! Made me tear up ❤❤
Lol stop lying you simp.
I’m a massive fan of Alexander! GFI is amazing too but Alexander won my heart with the syntax error 2 and super ball.

Good lord… the plate on the Space Force was all o needed to hear… so much smoother

Very cool playing and use of effects :) love the wingman ;)
I have the rewind. It’s f***ing amazing. In your hands sound a little better than in mines, but that’s just a detail. Cheers 🍻
Great demo. Trying to decide on a second verb myself. My UAD Golden is great for realistic sounds, but not so much for ambient/experimental sounds.

Sweet, I was looking at Empress Echo System, but the Alexander Rewind looks more usable for what I want to do.
BEAUTIFUL INTRO!
For me the GFI sounds better, has top mounted jacks and a bit more space between the foot switches which are all wins for me.
That intro! Man... that intro... frisson.
Por favor dime cuál es el pedal compatible de expresión para el skayler he probado varios si no le quedan
Mission engineering ep1
Something is distorting on the Space Force, didn't hear that on other demo's other than the lo fi algo.

@@MaTTheWish Oh well..reading this after I got the pedal and have the same exact issues...what the fuck
Exactly!…distorted trails!)

I got lost in the playing.......
