Tae mentioned that the album is called ‘layover’ as it’s a stop in a journey and not the final destination. He said it reflects his plan to do several albums trying out different styles until he reaches his final goal (destination) with the sound he wants to express with his music. This album is to show us his real musical tastes as Kim Taehyung and not bts v. Tae says it’s an album we should listen to on the road, when we get back from work, at sunset to chill, de-stress and relax. His aim is not billboard charts, but to put out authentic music that reflects him a part of him as a person. Tae’s music is for the connoisseurs of fine music and this album is a timeless classic and all the songs are growers, the more you listen to them then better they keep sounding. Love that Tae said no no to the mainstream pop music, didn’t follow that band waggon and said nope, I’m gonna give you my own genre. ‘Blue’ and ‘for us’ are a chefs kiss.

Now I get it !! I can’t seem to describe it but it’s so TaeHyung !! This is truly him ! I love his album !
I could explain in more detail. First of all, the album is about love and longing. Rainy Days has a piano melody, almost melancholy, in contrast to the singing rap. Love Me Again, this song combines beautiful vocals with the sounds of an electronic synthesizer to make a plea for love.
In Slow Dancing, he is trying to invoke good memories to convince his love to return to him. In this arrangement, the flute creates a jazzy vibe, evoking a dreamy mood.
V's visuals and voice is so mesmerizing. The song is so beautiful
Taehyung said layover songs and MVs are connected, we have to listen/watch them in order. Now we can listen the album, we have to wait till September 13th for 'blue' MV and 'for us' MV doesn't have a date yet.
Kim Taehyung always has his own style. He never actually had a role model in k-pop IDOLs, he never try to be like them and that's why we have kim TAEHYUNG the true ARTIST, very original. And organic too . Nowadays very few artists is there who have their own sound and not aim for mainstream popular music.
I always knew TAEHYUNG is different and that's why he always stand out among BTS members. Not just now but he always kind of Mistry to us . And i also i always feel he is the most genuine and pure by heart

listening to the whole album is pure bliss. one may find listening to some song individually underwhelming but the whole album creates such a cohesive and unique atmosphere its impossible to not vibe throughout it each track is threaded with care for the exact purpose

I think V is recreating the scenery and the natural lights that he saw while travelling in his own studio.
Next to the high artistry - the more often I watch the video the deeper understanding I get myself for what he wants to tell us. The message he wants to share. And this is simply amazing. Tae is such a multilayered artist and very unique. He shows this through his music. Seriously he is so talented and makes us indulge in his music so that everyone finds his own meanings and feelings of lyrics. I am so incredible proud of Tae.

Having an instrumental outro is kind of his signature style though. He's done this with some songs that he wrote/composed. This time, the flute was added for the freestyle choreography and I personally love it.

it feels like he is creating his own westworld😄 like he is going back to a memory, where he was with his love, but it holds bad memories now that she is gone. so he creates his own world even as it's fake, he'd rather want that, then the reality world where she is gone... he also looked a bit like peter pan. so maybe he is refusing to grow up - as in refusing to let go of the life with her and the happiness. that's what i am getting from it 💕

This is V in a dream. Slow dancing as far as my interpretation is a beautiful dream. He is in that blissful dream. So creatively unique style of music, his voice is mesmerizing very soothing. This MV is refreshingly gorgeous. V's visual is out of this world, and I am still wondering if he is real. The song is beautiful, the music, the lyrics, the instruments. What else can I ask for? Most importantly this is who V is, energetic and full of life. A break from all these rap songs and songs full of curses, this is the kind of music you can play for your children and even babies, clean and relaxing! Congratulations to the whole crew and staff. The video was shot on the island of Majorca (off the coast of Spain).
Honestly, it is difficult for me to say if it is strictly Mallorca. There are details that seem to me to be Mallorca and others Nerja, in Malaga. Same for the cave in Love Me Again. I know them well and I'm still trying to figure it out. The reality is that that sun, that light and those coves are a wonder in the Spanish Mediterranean.
@@Victoria-yh5wr Yes, I think the cave in Love Me Again is in Malaga, the apartment in Rainy Days is in Madrid, and the setting in Slow Dancing is in Majorca. I can see why my uncle so loved the Spanish coast! He used to spend every summer there.

I saw a army post there she explains how see feel connected to this music video about those shining things and yeontan pic can be seen every where . It's happen when you imagine things in your mind , like you know what is happening around you but still creating your own scenario in your mind that's make you happy. Like mostly it happens in your dream too sometimes you know you are dreaming about this but still keep imagine things like you want to see . And sometimes its so scary bc it's can lead you to sleep paralyzes.

Something else I find it so incredibly brave from Tae kind of as well holding back by filling the song with many many verses and lyrics. Usually we here songs at least I do with bunch and bunch of verses. But V as well puts the lyrics at some points in the songs in the background and gives the music it´s spotlight such as in this song slow dancing. Usually kpop songs are filled with lyrics over and over which is great. But is this even to be called kpop? I would rather say this is HIM and this is V´s album and music.

The virtual world is trippy as a result of his creation because in a virtual world you just can, like tannins (his dog) showing up in the background in several moments. Tae is not in a lift but in a booth which is using his movements to create dancing Tae in the virtual world. He was aline ina cave in Love me again, He was the only ine in Rainy days, where he was creating sculpcures of his own head, and he is still alone in Slow dancing. He creatwd a whole world and acted as all the people. In this MV even the dog is not real, when he take pictute with Tannie it has a glow to it, showing its not real dog. So he is all alone and there is no way out. We will se where next mvs will get ys. Will he set himself free?. 💜
There has been no indication that he is playing that flute. A RUclipsr I watch said they like to listen to jazz, and it's common for there to be a long instrumental in those songs, so I think that's what Tae is going for. It creates a mood. The fact that the flute part makes you feel lonely might be intentional, because a theory of the MV is that he is creating all this to transport himself into it, because he is alone (only with his dog). Slow dancing MV is about a scientist who made an alternate universe for himself bc he is alone in reality. Ppl around him r actually himself that's all in his imagination. The place where he is going on a tripi actually his miniature creation. He is virtually creating every character around him by Himself to not feel lonely. At the end of the day he falls asleep and wakes up in his real world where he is alone with his pet dog in his apartment.

about to album, to me, is a clear progression in narrative:
it starts with Tae waking up on a Rainy Day, full of memories, he tries to distract himself
nothing works, so... Blue as f***
then he whimpers inside the cave of his 💜 unconformed with non-reciprocal love, very lonely and a little bit sour (the golden Tae is pissed, tbh, the red one is trying to amend things throughout sincerity)
the pain goes on, so to deal with it he creates a sunny and multicolored world as a sweet escape from his reality and there are several friends (who are himself) in his illusion of adventures and fun but, in the end of the day, there is a melancholic stare
finally, he asks "please, let me tell you something before this layoVer time is gone, come soon"
