The algorithms for shorts vs regular videos are totally different. In my experience the shorts are good for one hard spike without a tail, whereas long videos get a tail and enjoy a longer time horizon. There’s no denying that shorts are the growth tool right now. I am learning editing and just thought of posting podcast clips as it keeps me accountable. (No monetization purpose obviously) A couple of clips worked and I reverse engineered what people might want. Posted a short at 4 pm. Got 45k views in the first hour. PS - I’m Vijay (from Twitter). Changed the name since I started posting these shorts.
