The worst app in history
Yes
umm no
@@ArianaTheDopest we need a downvote button for you
@@ArianaTheDopestNot the worst but BAD
@@user-yo9rj8wk4y then tell me which app does more braindamage ? the short videos are the most damaging thing i saw on my phone
My ex girlfriend was always on that and she never wanted to watch movies, her sleep schedule was awful and she wasn't focusing at all. This made people so "brain dead", I'm just glad I don't watch tik tok at all.
My ex started bad hygiene habits , she wouldn't bath or even brush teeth spending 16 to 20 hours on the app a day she slept from 3am to 6am then starts scrolling
But if you're on Reels and shorts it's the same thing.
@@MzansiStoriesOfficial hope you parted ways because inevitably she will identify as having multiple disorders and a gender identity crisis.
@@nikyabodigitalyes it is but I say TikTok is worse
Hardest thing about tiktok brain for me is telling friends that im not watching any of the dumb short form videos they are sending to me because I dont want to support it. Nobody loves me for it but it does feel good to not receive 20 short form video links a day.
Yh
Any updates now? We can't escape it anymore. Our favorite platform youtube has succumb to it.
I linked this video to my tiktok-addicted friend in the hopes of helping her. Unfortunately she didn't get past the intro.
R.I.P may she make it through a movie again some day
Whoa that's so severe imo
I refuse to use TikTok, it's awful for your brain, exactly as they have described. ADHD is on the rise and kids don't have the attention span to sit and watch a MOVIE anymore?! All because of 10 second clips you can endlessly scroll through which have destroyed young brains with instant gratification hits. The world is F*cked. Everyone needs to quit it.
yt shorts and reels is the same thing don’t use those
Not sure if im a fan of the adhd discussion in many of these worries. I get why its there! But i think it sort of downplays the disorder. Adhd is on the rise because there has been more information on it, and people recognise it within themselves…adhd must be present from a very young age i believe, one cant just acquire it suddenly as a result of a social media addiction.
Misdiagnosis can happen, yes! But i feel just equating adhd with short attention spans in relation to social media doesnt do it justice. Theres a difference between a low attention span and not being able to watch long form content, versus something more severe and continuous that impacts all areas of life - regardless of circumstance.
I honestly won’t miss tik tok if they ban it. My friends send me these tik tok videos all the time at work, sometimes six or more videos in a row. Like I’m at work, what makes you think I have this free time or want to even watch all these damn videos? Don’t people have jobs anymore?
TikTok is indeed brainwashing people in a way. Look at the posts, all irrational and this is getting serious and serious
What actually happening is that, when we get the first short vid infornt of us....we try to watch it with focus, feels good, then we try to focus and concentrate on it but that short has finished by that time so our focusing capability gets compromised. Of course our brain dont wanna see same vid in a loop .... so we scroll to next....again the same thing happens .... we start concentrating on it...but the vids is just too short...again our brains focusing skill hurts abruptly...this process in a loop for 2-3 hrs makes our brain run low on focusing skills and it get used to short information. After 2 3 hrs of scrolling when we sit with books we feel....here we have to open book , read ourselves, understand ourselves and memorize it....but in shorts there we strangers who were giving u info in less than a minute. Eventually, we can focus on studies or other long time taken tasks...and our memorizing power gets low.
Fkin tiktok,ig reels,yt shorts, snapchat and all similar apps they are all doin business out of spoiling kids and adults.
If I were to compare TikTok to a drug, I'd compare it to crack cocaine! Swipe/smoke for more dopamine, no satisfaction, only brief rewards to motivate you to keep frying your brain, even though it isn't actually enjoyable if you really keep doing it. Having tried crack, the experience of binging until you run out thinking it is fun, even though it really mkes you feel like sh*t almost immediately resonates with my experience of shortform videos. By comparison a good long movie is like mushrooms, you need to put time aside to relax and enjoy in good company!
I literally realized this myself I'm an ex addict and I was treating tiktok like a drug I took 5 days off and felt like I wanted to throw up picked up my phone over and over again my attention span is shot I used to watch lots of movies now I can't make it through one lol but I love TikTok I just got to find a happy balance
Just delete it. I felt mentally drained all the time, now that i git rid of tiktok i feel so much better
@Dacia Sandero guys yea happened to me too. I still struggle to focus
there is no such thing as healthy balance. you are using this as an excuse
This is the most bullshit I've heard
You definitely sound like an addict. There is no such thing as a "happy balance" when you're addicted to something. You should have figured this out by now.
My living partner and I are now so socially far apart, she's over 55, about a year ago she was introduced to TIK TOK, and now she's totally addicted to it, she gets in from work, and gets her ear bud in, sits in her living room chair and disconnects from everything for hours until she goes to bed, then she's on it in bed until she falls asleep, she's become impatient, can't hold a conversation for more than a minute and gets aggravated if you want to talk, she's quit watching movies and tv shows with me, can't keep her attention, she's stopped watching her shows totally, and won't even look up at me from her phone when I try to talk to her. And she now watches longer videos on Tik Tok (when her ear bud isn't in) at double speed. She's totally addicted to it now.
Get her treatment
You cant remove youtube shorts and short videos from other platforms no matter how badly you dont want to see them. Anytime you tap on a app your essentially burning your brain cells watching tiktok
The mindless and meaningless use of the adverb "literally" by all three speakers is telling. It's quite the viral phenomenon.
Thanks to the Kardasianisation of Society.
The problem here is more adults have this problem then children nowadays, my parents do not stop scrolling if they arent at work, and also I think it influences people in a negative way to purchase more online and possibly as far as trying to get people addicted to spending money online it's horrible
Im so glad my brain is so bored whenever I started using social media because I deleted it the next week I got it bc I thought it was boring lol
You are a good one.
how this video can have only 1500 clicks?
2:51-3:02 That's just what Nintendo does in their games. Whether it works or not, at least they are a company doing their part.
You know what's funny? Without any hate or any kind of "phobic". I never, never had tiktok and do not watch shorts; and the new gender concepts and stuff feel so unreal lol. Some kind of alien ridiculous concept. Maybe a coincidence, or just a proof that this gender stuff makes people gullible
My cousin is so addicted to TikTok, he gets mad easily and always stays up at night watching it. I can’t believe my parents offered for him to stay with us for the summer.
Can we agree that the solutions aren’t really solutions, it’s a drug and the best way to heal from the addiction is to never try it in the first place.
Be the example you want to set for your kids, when you’re home just be humans be there and if you can completely turn off your phones yes by all means.. it’s the safest and healthiest decision to make this day and age
Something I noticed about these types of videos is never "stop using the new technology". The Amish were onto something, guys.
I quit TikTok and now I can enjoy video games again, I can enjoy movies, I feel clean
I deleted that app.Not good at all
Is there medicine for this?
My girlfriend has unfortunately developped tiktok brain. I don't know what I can do from there. In less than a min she goes through more than20 videos looking at them for 3 seconds or less

Buy your kid a mini bike instead of a phone.
As a teacher I'm noticing student attentions spans are almost completely gone. I have to say the same instruction 3, 4, 5 times to these brain dead zombies. Then they ask "what are we doing?" It's epidemic, terrifying and shocking.
good video I think. Didn't have the attention span to watch it fully
China has truly conquered the West, just not in the way we imagined 😅
Also this fast change of emotions - you watch video of cute animal suffering, then some stupid clown making fun, lady doing makeup, suddenly tornado coming on house...and decorating birthday cake 😂
I thought this was a Joke...Now I am being told this is a real thing..😜.
I'll never be TikTok addicted!!!
Funny how they talk about how terrible TikTok is when older folks have brain rot from all the news media. Yeah i would never watch "tiktok" *continues to watch the news filled with only negativity
The problem is not TikTok it is all apps instagram reels and RUclips shorts!!
Fr but it's only good for making money. And if your addicted just keep using it less and eventually you can just stop using it.
Short attention span , real life the human wont be able to finish anything, don’t finish task , finish jobs , finish life
Give the kid an old Nokia phone lol
😂
They will panick
The best thing a parent can do is not allow their kids who are developing mentally to use Tik Tok at all.
RUclips has shorts in order to compete with tik tok
It's to late now our future generations are hopeless
Yes no hope whatsoever
I literally cannot imagine this crop as adults. Sheesh.
It's sad when stupidity is the literal systemic, ubiquitous zeitgeist of an era.
People want fast things these days the elders need to get upto speed
Mostly are fake people , trolls and bullies
Literally literally literally literally literally figuratively.
My friend has tiktok brain how do i fix him
I am addicted I got go to T A tic toc anonymous
This is Facebook, tiktok, Instagram, twitter, and others in general. Just like playing excessive amounts of video games. Excessive anything isn't good for you, and they're just now figuring this out?
Ya this video was mostly useless. It should of just been called 'how dopamine works for dummies'
Tiktok is made in a way that tricks into having to use in exess
the way i watched this in 2x
Hello, can you please point is to the study cited here? Thanks
Looking for an excuse to keep using the app? Use tiktok for a year and the try to quit and you won't need a study to prove it you fucking twat.
@@dogtag4673 - I want to share it with people to help convince them of the danger social media poses to children.
It's also full of people giving false information...or taking real stories and twisting them..I've had arguments with people in the past because they "learnt" something from TikTok which to me was hilariously false
Some people could be convinced the sky was green if they saw a tiktok about it they dont go outside
Just in the year 2024 alone, and I am shocked to hell to how many people I meet, especially younger people that have TikTok brain. Every time I make videos about this topic of how compared to America versus people around the world, they have a short attention span they type like 13-year-olds from high school they act like children picking on one another being disrespectful and being unprofessional about it and they all have one thing in common. They scroll through TikTok or a short videos all the time, and I was never into TikTok, and never even know its existence until 2020 when the power-hungry people are taking over the world, I don’t even understand TikTok or why it’s so popular every time I scroll on it I feel like I am seeing the same trends over and over and over from over 10,000 different people whenever I scroll all I see is girls Twerking or doing sexual things that have no point to it or I see those videos of where people are talk about how to get a deal or a discount on something that isn’t true such as going to a gas station saying that we have a special deal on Thursdays now there’s not. It’s just pointless videos that people are obsessed with and whenever I am in the middle of talking or explaining something they stop listening after 60 seconds ago on their phones and it’s reach to the point I have to scream at them to pay attention, and whenever I scream at them, they get upset, and then they cryabout how much of a jerk I am and I get sick of it
I don't believe a word that you're saying you're just giving a bunch of lip service. Probably you're being paid by the left side if you're tensions. Fan can't think beyond a short video. Then you got problems.
I have youtube brain. I could spend 5 hours watching videos here. I don't want to do anything
People are hippocrites. Tiktok is bad but yt shorts, reels aren't
I've gotten to the point where I can't watch RUclips vids unless comments are enabled because I can't focus on the videos and also the comments tell me what I want to know before watching the whole thing. I'm beyond braindead.

I’m glad I never got into TikTok honestly look it has its good little fun things and entertainment, but there comes to a point where it constantly interferes with your day-to-day life like if the first thing you do when you wake up and scroll through TikTok versus get up use the bathroom or say good morning to people that’s to me is a bad problem
Why didn’t this go viral? This is a severe national health issue.
Addictive not addicting
Best evidence of TikTok.
Im a teen and have tik tok but i can watch a 2 hour movie
what the difference with tiktok vs fb ig reels, youtube shorts etc?
All the same built the same
Did she say dopamine is a hormone?
This is America
Nice
I hate tik toc
TikTok isn’t the only platform that has this effect on the brain, even though it’s called TikTok Brain.
RUclips, Instagram, Facebook, and similar platforms have the same effect. Endless scrolling, endless videos, endless dopamine.
They are the first one 😂
