WOW! I really needed this video. So much good information. Thaks for the tutorial. I have a few basic questions. For the most part, I'm able to follow everything you said except for one or two things:
1) On the setup page where you talk about the "protocol and name installation". I understand about the protocol but why should I not use my website name for the "name installer"?
2) Can't my Wordpress login & Hostgater be the same? After all, I can access WP through Hostgater, right?
Those are the only two things I'm not clear on. Thanks again.
Thank you! Happy to hear it was helpful! You can use your website name for the name installer. I recommend using the name of your site without the domain extension with it. For example, if the site is demowebsite .com then using the name Demo Website is a good way to do it. You can make the WordPress login and HostGator login the same if you'd like too. You can access WordPress through HostGator or logging into WordPress from the WordPress login page with a /wp-admin at the end of your URL.

I know I can change it but what I plan to do is, following, your tutorial, I'm going to reinstall WP so I can really understand how everything is done. Fingers Crossed. Thanks again.

@@wpcupidblog I'm seriously doing something wrong. I can't get past the setup page. I'm having the worst time. I've gone through the steps and reinstalled several times. One thing I discovered is that when I purchased HG it assigned me a WP protocol and name installation. Can I uninstall and start over?
Yes, you can uninstall WordPress and start over. If you search uninstall WordPress HostGator you will see my video at the top going through the steps. It's done in the Softaculous Apps Installer like when you install WordPress with HostGator. The HostGator chat support reps are great at seeing if something technical is going on and they should be able to fix that for you as well.
Baby plan is no longer offering unli-websites, just to correct. Because I think you mentioned it's still unli which is the same from your previous video.
Greetings! Hostgator just changed its plans to reflect the Baby plan as 5 websites. At the time of the video being published it was unlimited websites still. Appreciate the feedback!
