First off THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU THAT KEEP ANDY IN YOUR PRAYERS...SENT CARDS AND LETTERS OF SUPPORT..DONATED ...VIEWING OF OUR VIDEO'S.. We both are so thankful for you ALL.. Your prayers are most needed now with the complications Andy's run into this week. Andy has a rough week ahead of him but HE CAN DO THIS #ANDYSTRONG🙏🏿👆🏻 His left kidney numbers are at 450 from 90 just a few weeks back so will require additional surgery to drain kidney so chemo can resume. His magnesium levels also crashed so was called in for replacement. His Sept surgery was explained in detail to Andy as well as his risk factors. was A LOT to take in ..in two days.
We aren't bust from our Garden..( plant and leave it experiment) lol.. getting some dehydrating and freezing put up...gifting the rest to the neighborhood out front.

Andy, you will be fine. I was diagnosed at stage 4e in 2006. I'm still here after years of chemo and surgeries. Hang tough. Laugh out loud and trust your oncologist. You are a trooper and you will win this one! The thing to remember is that cancer is no longer a death sentence! Stay happy kiddo! Smile more than ever!

a seven hr procedure. Yeah, i was noticing the weight difference from last video. Ohhh bacon, salty meat. I have a friend whose going thru very similar and she only has a taste for salty. Agree, no gutting these are trained and skilled surgeons and Im liking how thorough they sound. May sound crazy but for med Dr.s its seems like more of a holistic approach than I would expect to hear so I feel extremely optimistic. My friends experience so far and her Dr.s....they sound lost.

I've been in your shoes and I understand the emotions going through both of you right now. I'm glad they're putting in the nephrostomy tube so quickly to bypass the ureter. My husband had a tube on both sides. It truly helped with his kidney function. My thoughts will be with you every day.
Andy...You eat all the bacon you want!!! After my cancer treatments I lost most of my taste buds for about a year and all I could eat was a plain hamburger patty, an occasional ribeye steak, and about once a week I could tolerate peanut butter on English muffin toast. Eat what you can, do your best, and don't worry about what others think. Huge Hugs to you!!!!

I will be heading to my cabin on Sunday...if I have good reception...maybe we can do a 3 way video talk to keep you busy talking. Plus, we have no power right now with the bad storms... and will not be able to run your play list while I am up to my cabin until I get home...which is the 24...It's so good your kidney specialist is doing that for you...don't want nothing to happen to your kidneys. I’m happy to see the comments of survival, the paths others have followed is encouraging and brings hope. The ride home is hard, you can’t believe it, mind is racing and fear is rampant. You’re in my prayers, it’s hard to hear it all but it’s all in God’s hands. He will see you both through. Give the man what he wants, for now. After he’s well, cured and home, it’s still going to be a battle to find something that tastes good. Bacon? Bacon! God loves you Peggy and Andy and so do we.

Information is key, it's better to know to much than to know too little. The doctors know what they are up against and I for one would want to know everything. Trust in God and in medicine.
i think it was just the initial walk into the wall of information that floored us...been a few days and after chatting up the oncology department more and home nurse.. we are feeling better about this. x0 trust in god and in medicine. x0
All the numbers the docs and tech tell you are things I no longer worry about to any more. I just go by how I feel and do things I like that I can. All the best to you.

im a lot distracted Christine. I feel like im failing what needs to be done and what actually gets done. I feel like i should be stronger then i am or doing better for andy then i am. was the worst week ever.. so like i told andy.. we came thu the shit hole week.. we got the rest in the bag...my old work partner is going with us monday to keep me company..god love her.. was NOT looking forward to a 5 hour wait alone in my own brain lol. i just wish we lived closer to family as the 6 days on my own going back and forth are going to really be hard.. down playing it for andy so he doesn't worry. but i hate that i'll have to cut short visits with him to tend to the what needs tending to here... listen to me complain lol... see? it's COMPLAINING and selfish of me. . i can do this... i WILL DO THIS x0x0 he needs me to do this. x0

Wally had been suffering from severe headaches for the last couple of years no one could figure out why! One day he found a specialist! So he went to see this specialist and he did dozens of tests! After all the testing he came in to exam room with a solution! Dr said all your tests are normal and the prognosis is we have to remove your testicles! Wally choked on his words and said no way doc I'm not gonna do that ! So he went home and continued to have headaches so bad he couldn't function anymore so he went back to the specialist and agreed to the surgery! Well the surgery was a great success and Wally was headache free for months now! Then one day his nephew asked Wally to be in his wedding! He agreed and was in getting fitted for a tuxedo and the tailor got to the inseam and asked Wally if he wore his testicles on the right side or left side of the seam!? And Wally replied one on each side of the seam! The tailor stood up and looked Wally and said one on each side of the seam doesn't that give you headaches!? Lol

I'm so happy I'll have them here for surgery day..I know I'll be a mess waiting 8 hrs. They all have jobs starting back up after our recent lockdown.if they could? They'd be here the full 6 days..living long distance from them all makes it hard as well. I'm not fully confident doing it on my own ..but I'll just do it.. thank you for your prayers Susie

Peggy, there is a book that has tips and recipes for eating and just feeling better for every symptom a person could have going through cancer and chemo. I am in the US and have no idea how to send you this book. I highly recommend it as it has helped numerous family members of mine. It is called: Eating Well Through Cancer: Easy recipes and tips to guide you through treatment and cancer prevention. It is by Holly Clegg. I think she is a nurse and a nutritionist. It is written with the help of an oncologist. I don't want you to feel helpless if Andy has side effects from treatment and want you to have this book to turn to for help. It is worth it's weight in gold. It is on Amazon. At least take a look at it on Amazon. If you have a mailing address maybe I can get Amazon to send it to you.
