An average Ugandan consumes 5 kgs of pork per year. Uganda's demand for pork and other products from pigs is high. Concerning other livestock meat, pork continues to see an increase in consumption. Pure breeds vary in physical appearance and some attributes such as growth rate, feed conversion efficiency, resistance to some diseases, the average number of piglets furrowed, mothering ability, the survival of piglets and meat quality. #NARO #PigFarming #BulindiZardi
