Fun fact about why Jeopardy is played like it is: in the 1950s, there was a scandal surrounding quiz type game shows where the producers essentially gave one person the answers, rigging the competition. Fast forward to 1963 and Merv Griffin is mulling over game show ideas. His wife brought up that he should do a quiz show cause there weren’t many around then. He was hesitant because of the scandal. So she basically told him “Why not switch it up, give the answer and have the contestants give the question?” And that’s how Jeopardy was born.

"You will get an answer wrong if you don't answer in the form of a question. I don't know why that's a rule." That's because the original concept of Jeopardy was as an inverted trivia game where they gave you the answers and you had to figure out the questions. But there's only so many questions that you can reverse-engineer like that, so it eventually morphed into a standard trivia game but with questions phrased like answers and answers phrased like questions. It doesn't really make sense anymore, but it's memorable so they'll never drop it.
Mount Paozu and Mount Frypan are two different places. Goku and his family live on Mount Paozu. I'm surprised Kaiser forgot about the Paozu Tuna. Mount Frypan, may it rest in peace, was blown up by Master Roshi with the first displayed use of the Kamehameha. The Dragon Ball survived, however. This would be the first time we would see a Dragon Ball survive such a brutal attack, making people wonder if Dragon Balls can actually be destroyed. Also, side tangent, Pan's name is perfect and I dare anyone to not notice how many connections it has.
Can confirm that inuyasha is described as this by my dad once years ago when we had it on DVD. We had no cable and one night he watched the first season and began complaining "all they say is each other's names! Just get with each other and move on!" 😂😅
Okay now I'm picturing Scott with a pair of Subway footlongs, one in each hand. Why does Scott insist on eating sandwiches with his clothes off? And why is there two more sandwiches below-Nevermind, I'm just gonna not ask.

Oooooh, so the Bible Black Arc is why Yu Yu Hakusho continued airing at 5 in the morning after the Dark Tournament. It all makes sense now! This is amazing, you guys should make Anime Jeopardy (or other topics) a regular feature.
8:57 I literally thought what was a pornographic anime franchise and the only one I could think of was Bible Black. Then that turned out to be the answer, now I feel a powerful need to go outside and play sports.
The reason Jeopardy has you answer in the form of a question, is because trivia shows before that had a huge scandal of giving contestants answers. So they decided to just, give them the answer, and have the contestands come up with the question instead.
Oh my god Superbook and the Flying House just smacked me back to being 5 years old. Putting them in the context of being anime was legitimately brain-breaking.
When I first saw Superbook, it was the 3d reanimated version. So, I did some investigating and when I found the OG anime, I was over the moon. Just the idea of going back in time to the days of the bible and meeting the men and women behind those stories is incredible.
I would've totally whiffed that Spirited Away question because I immediately said out loud. "What is Shoujo Tsubaki?" and to be fair that girl has a significantly worse time at the carnival.
17:00 Technically Kaiser was right on this. The rule is answer in the form of a question, not you have to say what is or who is. Scott saying "Is this a bird" IS a question.

Hmm, I don't think they ever confirmed the age of Anya. The only thing we get is that twilight thinks that she is "four five at the oldest". Well in the manga and the anime that is. There might be some other sources /guidebooks that I am not aware of.
You have the highly-analytical anime critic Mark and the self-aware anime-niac Scott with "I like anime" Nick and Nick is the one that wins. This is so validating as someone who likes dragon ball but doesn't otherwise watch a bunch of anime
Think Stephan should be fired more for not doing a second round and Final Jeopardy to give us more of this A+ content haha. Kaiser dominating the Demonetize Me, Daddy section, strong work--impressive
Scott was too focused on doing the over 9000 meme to ask/say it in the form of a question, yet nobody noticed and was only picked up on later by the editor (which is most likely Scott knowing him). Thats how Iconic the meme is. Theyre so focused on it that everyone forgot about the rules.

They probably tested exactly when they could use such language without triggering the early video obscenity detection.
I thought RUclips was doing away with that
They said RUclips didn’t like the exorbitant amount of cussing. They just censored half.

Kaiser’s dominance during the “Demonitize me Daddy” section got a good laugh out of me 😂.
A good one for “What’s my age again?” Is Maximillion Pegasus from Yu-Gi-Oh! As of the Duelist Kingdom arc, Pegasus was 24 years old.
His hair throws u off but it makes since considering most of the duelists are fresh out of high school.
I also call BS on that no way Pegasus is that young I'd believe Mia is that age. Pegasus is just a kid at heart.

2:30 Btw the reason why you need to form your answers into a question for Jeopardy, is that what you being given is actually "Answers" to a question.

Let’s be honest that’s what makes it fun.
To answer the 9000 question correctly, you're supposed to tell the host to say "It's over 9000" at which point you reply "WHAT, NINE THOUSAND?!"
Lani with op strategy of letting your opponents beat themselves
Gonna need someone to name drop that documentary Kaiser watched. I must be cursed with the knowledge.
The reason you answer in the form of a question is cause the actual “questions” are statements so you answer questioning what it is.
7:12 ah yes, my favorite anime. Jack, starring Robin Williams

Jeopardy’s thing is that you get the answer and give the question. That’s why they say, “what is… blah blah blah”
Me, here, not a great Dragon Ball scholar yelling at the screen, “Triclops! TRICLOPS!” At these people who know so much more than I do. Amazing.

The reason why in Jeopardy you have to answer in the form of a question is because the trivia is presented as a statement
