After buying an off-grid house without a washing machine or hookups, we decided to install a simple greywater system for our laundry. Items used are linked below.

So I can dump into a rain water tank just like you did without any anti siphon?

Wow!! This is pretty impressive. I was a bit worried at first when you all were wondering if water was running!! Love seeing your progress on the house. And thanks for the drone shot in the beginning showing your property. What beautiful land! How close is your nearest neighbor? Lots of great adventures ahead!

Thanks, I was worried too lol. Our closest neighbors are about 1000 feet away, but we don’t see them. And then next closest are all further than a mile

Hmm...🤔 hi guy's, that's new for me, having cold And hot water for the washing machine! Why both? Doesn't the machine heat up the water itself? I've never seen a washing machine with both hot and cold water conexión... maybe in your place it's common. Regards Rickard from Sweden 🇸🇪

Yep, all out washing machines here have a hot and cold line. The unit doesn't heat the water on it's own.

Do you have electricity? We're planning an off grid build and trying to think of ways to still have a regular washing machine!

We are Off-Grid and have solar. Nothing is really different then being on grid. We have a washer/dryer, fridge, stove, dishwasher, and all the other typical appliances.

Its just me, so I went with small portable apartment sized washer/dryer. They use standard 110 outlets and reguire less power than full size. Of course it all depends on a person's setup.

Umm....you really need to run a drain line away from the house. The water will not only rot your deck, but it will also bring wood eating insects and undermine your foundation.

      That wouldn't be fun
