Great hotel. Located in a calm area. We could only regret not having enough time to explore all the hotel facilities and services. The jacuzzi pool is the best i have seen in any resort. The two pools are great. I could have spend all day long there, swimming, chilling and reading. Only cons were for us in the room itself: the poor support of the pillows and the tiny, well worn bathroom. The crew at the desk could have been a bit more helpful (compared to other hotels we stayed in) but nevertheless they were friendly. Overall, I'll be very happy to come back at Arona Gran Hotel. Nice place to relax after daily long walks in Tenerife. 😎💯👌
This is where we stay and can confirm it is a beautiful hotel, have been coming here since 2011 and we love it. Great service, food and friendly staff. Worth paying the extra for 👍😀
Had friends from Canada stayed here a few weeks ago. They travel all over the world and said this is the best they have stayed in. Raved about breakfast. We had a tour of their room and it was beautiful. The sea view from the balcony was excellent but pigeons annoying. Definitely a notch above four star.
Hi Kevin i remember when that Hotel was being built and i stayed in it myself about 15 years and it was absolutely first class nowadays its out of my price range for a complete holiday. The Paloma beach apts i found them one of the best for an apartment the only downside i found with both of them your right at the end of the resort which means a lot more alright for 3 or 4 days but the whole holiday ??. Kevin I've really enjoyed the videos on this trip. Well Done. David😊
Kevin thank you for sharing this We are booked there for March next year It is similar to Vulcano ( where we stayed twice) bur agree it seems to be better ( & we confirmed from friends the food is higher quality)xx👍👍
We stayed there last year. It is a lovely hotel. The only thing that lets it down is the area around it. It is also quite a long walk into Los Cristianos centre.
It's UP all the way for us. Back in October for second visit . Rooms we find not as contemporary as other areas of hotel but comfortable. Breakfast amazing but dinner was mixed for us . Give it a try Kevin
Have stayed in the Arona Gran, a beautiful hotel. The food is lovely, I have a problem with dairy, without hesitation they got me oat milk for my breakfast and coffee. The rooms are wonderful and fully equipped and clean. The staff are really nice and helpful, wished I could have stayed longer.
Thank you for the review Scotsman, (have watched and prev subscribed to your blogs/vlogs?.(Also Alans channel blog/vlog.). I don't know the difference of blogs/vlogs.? We have stayed in Tenerife many times over the last 24 years, and I can agree the Arona Gran is superb. Stayed there in Feb.This time we stayed in a "pool view" room, but side sea view ( in 2018/9) was as good..actually this time no sun in our pool view room at the time of year (everything else was great)., I am thinking of booking full sea view and/or Up room next time. Up service looks very good, and better than some of the others as it has 2 restaurant/snack bars plus covers whole roof..downside is it closes early evening. So no evening meal there, I think?. We are staying at Vulcano in November.(Also stayed at Bitacora before 2018) because of the "central area" , and adults only ( we do have children, now adults, but no grandchildren).
Sure is the best hotel Kevin, and probably the best in all of Tenerife. I stayed in lots of lovely hotels in the Canary Islands, but this hotel tops them all. The food is top notch. Everything about this hotel spells class. Quite expensive, but worth every penny. If you ever get to stay here Kevin, make sure that you use the facilities and that you relax and enjoy it all.😎
I have heard there is hidden charges ie 5 euros a day for the fridge. 5 euros for a bottle of water. And that they dont take cash everything is changed to the room. Can anyone please confirm.

Nice hotel but it's at the far side of Los Chris so very far from Las Americas etc. If like me you do a lot of walking around, it's a long walk home at the end of the day.
Thanks again for this on my bucket list for next year. Just a thought on new places this year is turyie and that is fethyie looked better than your videos from marrise and icimle.
We stayed here at New Year and have booked for summer. Things we arent fussed on entertainment was outside, went on very late and was extremely loud even with balcony doors closed. Wouldn’t have minded but it was rubbish, singers couldn’t hold a note. Food looked good but poor quality and had obviously been sitting about ages. Very noisy canteen like atmosphere. However other plus points balance these out for us.

Looks nice Kev! I will add it to my wish list! 👍🏻
The complex at the very end are rincon 4 Kevin and they are top notch 😊
Is this hotel good for ppl with walking difficulties, like up a hill?! Tia
Both rincon 4 and Arona grand are on a really flat spot but Tenerife does have a few hills some steeper than others.
Simply the best hotel in LC. Especiaaly if you go for the UP! experience. Nice vid, Kevin

War auch schon im Aronaund muss sagen es war super! Nur gab es keinen Strand, das war ein Manko. Ansonsten top!!
Hi Kev
Just booked this instead of the vulcano for a change in December. May see you there then instead of the Bus in Lanzarote 😂

Have they tidied the prom leading to the Hotel, it was a bit of a mess last time we were there ?
Wasn't too bad
Just finished a few weeks ago. Railings all the way along now and stairs with handrails down to the stones beach.
Left out the word walking. David
😇😇
