Another great video and project. Did a demo on your tree, went well. Posted pictures of some on FB. Always give credit to you. Thanks.
Thank you Joseph, I am so glad your demo went well. Pics of your trees on FB are brilliant. 7 sections!!! 👏 🎄🎄🎄
Lots of sanding on the bevels.......have you given any thought to possibly bandsawing close to a line using a holding jig and then sanding a bit to final dimensions?? Great project....well done!
Thank you. Bandsawing is doable, however I prefer sanding as I have better control and know exactly when to stop :) Just my personal preference 👌🏻
Fabulous little gems, I enjoyed the whole thing 😀
Finally got round to making a few of your owls. Gave them some further embellishment with a woodenbeek and feet. Thanks for the inspiration.
Nice looking Owl and seems easy to make!!
Excellent design and creativity. Do you mind sharing what size eyes were used?
Thank you. 18mm-20mm eyes work great.
That's great but I noticed you have a lead coming from your speed control I have a Rutland's lathe and it's got a problem with the capacitor has yours had a problem

Interesting presentation, and nice work! Innovative…I like it! Thank you for sharing.
Couple of questions. Where are you located? Also, what brand is the lathe?
@@garyjanes2358 I am in the UK. Rutlands is the brand of my lathe, here is the link if you want to check it out: www.rutlands.com/sp+woodturning-lathes-lathes-premium-woodturning-lathe-with-variable-speed-rutlands%C5%BD+r2000?Googlebase&Googlebase&geoip=GB&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkZKNBhDiARIsAPsk0WiiSoNt2PI23oIMKK-IWh2D4TqD7s9GJlOVvPz9Otl2xctZlzCKHK8aAmMJEALw_wcB
@@EpoxyWood thank you for the answers. I read the great reviews…there is a mention of North America, so, now I’m thinking the Rutlands are available in Canada as we’ve not seen them here. Happy Turning!
Where did you buy those eyes?
Ebay or Amazon - just google glass eyes :)
Music was so monotonous it became irritating, unique way to turn an owl Richard Mabie
You lost me half way through due to the monotonous purile music. You do not need it. A limited talk over would be more useful. I may come back later to see the finished product.
Yup, 4 minutes was all I could take
