I have had a bob haircut for years and I love it! My hair is wavy. If you have a good hairstylist, he or she should know how to layer it and shape it to bring out the waves. Of course, you can also blow dry it straight. May I suggest you try a longer bob first to get used to the new length.
I had shirt hair, medium and long hair. The only advise I can give on short hair is if you love it, get it cut every month cuz sometime when it grows a little it starts getting into that in between stage. Also you look so gooooood with short hair! Keep it. You look hot!

Was very hesitant since I'm a plus size girl and didn't think my face would look good with such short hair but everyone seems to like it. I have my hair short, and I absolutely LOVE it. Just keep up to date with trims, but if you want to eventually want to grow it out, just make sure your stylist knows that so he doesn't take off as much length, more or less just the split ends. Hair accessories are a MUST HAVE. They are super cute and help a lot on "bad hair days", And be prepared to have a few bad hair days, it's not easy being fabulous.

I got my hair cut into a pixie a couple months ago and recently shaved the back and one short side so that I have more grow out time that way the other side can get longer. I use Tresemme Thermal Creation Heat Tamer Spray on damp towel dry hair, then go in with a round brush (size is to your own liking) then blow dry style for volume, shine and less frizz. I usually rock the hair for 2 or so days and if dry shampoo is needed then I use. I love having short hair and you look amazing with shorter
I love the way yours came out! I have a very similar hair texture/wave/thickness to your hair, so it's awesome to see how great it can look short. I've only had mine short once in high school - but it wasn't quite as short as I would have liked, and I really didn't know how to style it, so it was a bit poofy. I'm gonna cut mine next month. LOVE IT! I actually just cut off my below the shoulders curly hair into a similar style and have been playing with products and styling to find what I love, but I love the freedom of the short hair now :)

I've had short hair for a very long time (my hair is also pin straight when it was long but it is very thick). Hair gel is your best friend to keeping my little bits of fringe from falling down and to give my hair volume. Get it cut regularly nothing looks worse than a pixie cut when it starts growing out (rat tail is the worst).
I'm curly too and went nearly as short as you. It's fun! Your cut looks fabulous. I love how curls spring to life without weight or how they re-form from the shaved nape of the neck. Mine's shaved too and feels so cool. I'm heading out today to buy some Devacurl Supercream Coconut Curl Styler. Felt like giving a new product a go on this short style.
Long or short hair you look fantastic but i think you look totally drop dead gorgeous with your sassy new crop. Hope you keep it short and have fun playing with it and trying different colours. My haircut was more out of necessity because I had a terrible ombre experience and then travelled overseas and the water there destroyed my hair so when I came home I cut it off. It's amazing really. I shaved my hair 2 years ago from the length that yours was. I too have natural wave to my hair and it's great for having short hair. Mine is now in a pixie and all I have to do most mornings is blow-dry rub some paste into the ends and blow-dry again, I literally let the blow dryer do all the work lol, because I have a natural curl I don't have to do anything else lol. If you want volume use a round brush while drying. I love short hair, it's fast easy and cool in the summer

The hair speaks for itself, it's an edgy hairstyle, very stylish, and chic at the same time. Put on a sexy pair of heels and you'll be turning everybody's heads wherever you go. I recommend you to use styling mouse to give your bang. or whatever is left of your hair for that matter, a bit of volume and wave.

First time in my life yes! My cut is super similar! My favorite product right now bc I barely have to do anything but still needs moisture/to be conditioned somehow- is....drumroll...Badger company actually makes this tin labeled "man care" and it's a hair pomade. I disagree it offers hold- but it smells DIVINE 😩 🙌 has cardamom in it which I love- and it does define my curls and make them soft & shiny. I have thick dry hair so I use a lot but if yours is oily or fine, id just use less. Yup. I also love Argan oil for my hair but haven't in a while- I'll use any oil around, coconut, olive...and I've stopped using SLS shampoos, I'll actually use regular Dr. Brommers soap or I prefer non drying low suds Black Soap. I'm into that No-poo method. But I'll condition or oil treat 👍😘✌️
Hey Christina. so the new look fits you perfectly. I think that a pixie was the way to go. My hair at one point was as long as yours was and i did the same thing. took it all off. Some things that i do recommend are to invest in some really nice texture wax to spice up your looks or to just keep flyaway hairs down and to also invest in a good thin straightener. Im sure you have already woken up to the bride of frankenstein hair that literally stand on its own. hahaha, i know i did. Enjoy the new you. It looks beautiful.
Thanks Missy. Yup that's me every morning, but I've learned to tame it with bobby pins and product. And now it's long enough for me to use a mini travel straightening iron on it when I want to change it up!

In may of 2013 I had the craziest idea of getting a pixie cut! I was about to graduate high school (like 3 day til the big day)! So went to the mall, got a pixie cut just like yours, little shorter in the front. Freaked people out because it was so not my style but i rocked it! By July it was starting to get longer and I decided to trim it, long story short I messed up and shaved all my hair off!! LOL I looked good with short hair, so I managed the shaved style too. Well I let it grow out (I can cut my own hair.) I made sure to trim it to where I didn't look like I had a mushroom thing going on.. Now, my hair is like 6 inches long and I miss my long hair, so I'm growing it back out! I warn you now, there are awkward stages!! I do have kinda wavy hair and its thick, but if its style-able then you have not worries! Congrats on the new do!
I've got super short hair, and I use Paul Mitchell Dry Wax when I want to style it. I have very straight hair, but my 13yo is having her hair cut short today (it's shoulder length now) and she has wavy hair. This helped me to see what it might look like! Thanks :)
Fruits leave in conditioner. Its awesome. Not only does it made your hair soft but helps you hold your look. My husband snuck into my fruits and now he uses more than me. LOL

I just went from waist length wavy straight hair to short curly hair in April?!!? For me I ave found a new love of serum gels. Also my hair gets drier now that I have to wash it once or twice a week due to my now oily scalp. I'm liking the Devacurl one condition with olive oil on top on rainy days. I like the Curl Junkie Curls in a Bottle on top of the Deva One Condition a lot too. It gets really hot and dry here in middle TN.
Spray wax will be your best friend! My hair is short but wavy and I have a lot of cowlicks! If you want your bangs to have a little wave but controlled use a sea salt spray! I hate using gel in my hair cause I have long bangs so steer clear for every day style unless you want to slick it back or something. That's basically it :)
I admire your courage. I once did the exact same thing you did when I was a little girl. I had long hair almost my whole life and had it cut into a pixie. It was a disaster for me. I thought I would end up with a straight pixie which was very fashionable back then; instead I got a head full of short, fuzzy curls which was not in fashion. Other kids laughed at me.
Your hair is super cute! I have wavy hair, but only wavy not curly & I have long hair, but I have worn it in a very short BOB cut very close to what you have now. I blow my hair out with Str8 by Rusk & afterwards spray it with Rusk Shining Spray & then I use a flat iron for the finishing touch! My hair is very dark/Black & very shiny. NOTE: Wen products are great for cleaning & moisturizing the hair. As your hair is very short so most of the waves are cut out. However, you can easily blow the longer parts out & run a flat iron over the longer bang area for a finish/polish to the hair. Good Luck with your hair super cute.

I am doing this tomorrow! I have been a "short haired girl" on and off for most of my life. I grow it out to shoulder length so I can put it in a pony, then gradually take more and more off until i have a chin-length inverted bob. I decided Monday that I am tired of it (again!) mainly because now that it is winter, it is hard to wear a cold weather hat with this length hair- it is always sticking out of the hat in funny directions and irritating my neck. So, by noon on Black Friday, I will be pixie again! My sons (17 and 10 years old) have not seen me with hair this short before, and I haven't told anyone how drastically short I am going, so wish me luck!
Am not trying to be mean But god has blessed you with a beautiful thick long hair you know not all of us has it I have a very very thin hair and extensions and so doesn't look that good with me but all in all to be short u have to know that you where sooo blessed to have this hair that every girl would do the impossible to have it and you gave it up

like the short cut, but also feel sad over the loss of her long hair. I mean it will take a long time to grow to the same length. The barber really cut it close in the back.
I got a pixie cut recently but next time i will get the back of my hair like yours. If i only have to manage a fringe i think i'll be happier, lol. Looks great! x

First time in my life yes! My cut is super similar! My favorite product right now bc I barely have to do anything but still needs moisture/to be conditioned somehow- is....drumroll...Badger company actually makes this tin labeled "man care" and it's a hair pomade. I disagree it offers hold- but it smells DIVINE 😩 🙌 has cardamom in it which I love- and it does define my curls and make them soft & shiny. I have thick dry hair so I use a lot but if yours is oily or fine, id just use less. Yup. I also love Argan oil for my hair but haven't in a while- I'll use any oil around, coconut, olive...and I've stopped using SLS shampoos, I'll actually use regular Dr. Brommers soap or I prefer non drying low suds Black Soap. I'm into that No-poo method. But I'll condition or oil treat 👍😘✌️

Hey Christina. so the new look fits you perfectly. I think that a pixie was the way to go. My hair at one point was as long as yours was and i did the same thing. took it all off. Some things that i do recommend are to invest in some really nice texture wax to spice up your looks or to just keep flyaway hairs down and to also invest in a good thin straightener. Im sure you have already woken up to the bride of frankenstein hair that literally stand on its own. hahaha, i know i did. Enjoy the new you. It looks beautiful.
Thanks Missy. Yup that's me every morning, but I've learned to tame it with bobby pins and product. And now it's long enough for me to use a mini travel straightening iron on it when I want to change it up!

In may of 2013 I had the craziest idea of getting a pixie cut! I was about to graduate high school (like 3 day til the big day)! So went to the mall, got a pixie cut just like yours, little shorter in the front. Freaked people out because it was so not my style but i rocked it! By July it was starting to get longer and I decided to trim it, long story short I messed up and shaved all my hair off!! LOL I looked good with short hair, so I managed the shaved style too. Well I let it grow out (I can cut my own hair.) I made sure to trim it to where I didn't look like I had a mushroom thing going on.. Now, my hair is like 6 inches long and I miss my long hair, so I'm growing it back out! I warn you now, there are awkward stages!! I do have kinda wavy hair and its thick, but if its style-able then you have not worries! Congrats on the new do!
I've got super short hair, and I use Paul Mitchell Dry Wax when I want to style it. I have very straight hair, but my 13yo is having her hair cut short today (it's shoulder length now) and she has wavy hair. This helped me to see what it might look like! Thanks :)
Fruits leave in conditioner. Its awesome. Not only does it made your hair soft but helps you hold your look. My husband snuck into my fruits and now he uses more than me. LOL

I just went from waist length wavy straight hair to short curly hair in April?!!? For me I ave found a new love of serum gels. Also my hair gets drier now that I have to wash it once or twice a week due to my now oily scalp. I'm liking the Devacurl one condition with olive oil on top on rainy days. I like the Curl Junkie Curls in a Bottle on top of the Deva One Condition a lot too. It gets really hot and dry here in middle TN.

Spray wax will be your best friend! My hair is short but wavy and I have a lot of cowlicks! If you want your bangs to have a little wave but controlled use a sea salt spray! I hate using gel in my hair cause I have long bangs so steer clear for every day style unless you want to slick it back or something. That's basically it :)

I admire your courage. I once did the exact same thing you did when I was a little girl. I had long hair almost my whole life and had it cut into a pixie. It was a disaster for me. I thought I would end up with a straight pixie which was very fashionable back then; instead I got a head full of short, fuzzy curls which was not in fashion. Other kids laughed at me.
Your hair is super cute! I have wavy hair, but only wavy not curly & I have long hair, but I have worn it in a very short BOB cut very close to what you have now. I blow my hair out with Str8 by Rusk & afterwards spray it with Rusk Shining Spray & then I use a flat iron for the finishing touch! My hair is very dark/Black & very shiny. NOTE: Wen products are great for cleaning & moisturizing the hair. As your hair is very short so most of the waves are cut out. However, you can easily blow the longer parts out & run a flat iron over the longer bang area for a finish/polish to the hair. Good Luck with your hair super cute.

I am doing this tomorrow! I have been a "short haired girl" on and off for most of my life. I grow it out to shoulder length so I can put it in a pony, then gradually take more and more off until i have a chin-length inverted bob. I decided Monday that I am tired of it (again!) mainly because now that it is winter, it is hard to wear a cold weather hat with this length hair- it is always sticking out of the hat in funny directions and irritating my neck. So, by noon on Black Friday, I will be pixie again! My sons (17 and 10 years old) have not seen me with hair this short before, and I haven't told anyone how drastically short I am going, so wish me luck!

But god has blessed you with a beautiful thick long hair you know not all of us has it I have a very very thin hair and extensions and so doesn't look that good with me but all in all to be short u have to know that you where sooo blessed to have this hair that every girl would do the impossible to have it and you gave it up

Yes I had short hair for 11yrs straight, I had no favorite products cause I used anything I wanted but Ecostyler gel(pink) was my bff!
