  • In this 83rd Video from Classic Car ChitChat you will get to see an all original 1960 Isetta. This care is extremely rare and although designed in Italy they were manufactured under BMW in many countries across Europe and South America. Very few of these 780lb cars however were made at the plant in Brighton England especially for the Canadian market! This car is essentially all original with matching numbers and has many British unique elements including the Lucas headlights!
In case you are keeping Track this is Video # 83 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat video’s make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great RUclipsrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
    Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
    Equipment Used:
Camera - Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

If you have read this far, then I thank you. As always, I truly appreciate your “thumbs-up”, and by leaving your comments it demonstrates to me that I managed to get you involved and hopefully made you smile. Most importantly when you subscribe to my channel then you are truly acknowledging my effort to help share with others like you my passion and love for “all things that have wheels” and honouring the people who take care of them.
    Thank You
    Kevin

What a lovely little car. I always thought these were 3 wheeled. This one is just so cute and if I had one I would be tempted to have it pained pink. Truly wonderful and fun video. 🥰

Great little car with a ton of character. I almost fell out my chair when you compared it to the lawn mower. Way too funny.

What a great little car. With price of gas these days this car becomes even more appealing. Fantastic fun video as always.

Thanks Troy. I’d only seen one maybe 40 years ago. So quite a treat for me too.

We had a bright orange Isetta in the early 60's. We lived in Bloemfontein in South Africa and went on honeymoon to Aliwal North (+-160kms away). The wedding guests tied her up in ribbons like an Easter egg and painted it with shoe whitener that we washed off at the first fuel stop. We even did a trip to Johannesburg (400kms) and back. Great fun to drive and got lots of attention. We used to open the roof and carry 2 bales of hay for the horses on the back shelf. The brakes were terrible - cable like a motor bike. Many happy memories of the orange bubble. Wish I still had her.

Dave, First of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention for the videos is to showcase the car and also allow the owner of the car (the caretaker as Jay Leno rightly says) the opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Wow, I loved reading about your story here.. I would love to see a photo of yours from your wedding day. Could you email it to me.. I would love to share with Berry too. I have never really appreciated how cool this car really is. I can see how it is truly a collector car and to think that this little car with its 15HP is still a head turner. Great video, I really enjoyed it and really knowledgeable owner too.

My mate's dad up our street had one of these and it was basically a motorbike with a full helmet. Tons of fun to drive around in to and perfect for English streets. But it was a struggle getting it to go up some of the hilly streets in Bolton.

James., that’s so cool. Yes I would imagine going up hill would be a little challenging.

I couldn’t agree with you more. Such a cool and unique car and the fact this beauty has survived 60 years and still going strong is a testament to people like Berry who take great care to keep her running.

Nanatsuki, First of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention for the videos is to allow "ordinary" people who love cars an opportunity to speak about their car and why that car means so much to them. After all we are all the "caretakers"of our cars (as Jay Leno rightly says). Thank you for your kind words too. The car is just lovely and so unique. Always brings a smile to everyone who sees it.
