Today's sermon and scripture readings were so powerful. They remind us to keep our egos in check, to give back to our communities even if it's just a small gesture of bringing a can of food for the food drive, or giving your change to a homeless person. I challenge you all to take care of your community. Suggestion: "Adopt" a homeless person. We see them out there, many have their own "spot". Offer them a cup of coffee, spare change. Look then in their eyes. Ask them their name. Anything you're comfortable doing. Humanize them. We never know that one day, for whatever unfortunate circumstances that may come our way, we might end up homeless ourselves. Practice gratitude and thank our Lord, Jesus Christ for even the small things.
