You guys, fuck I love El Paso!!! Mad respect! Man, you got a solid label to back you up! I wish we crossed paths, just. Man!!! Bobby Fuller! Let her dance!
Sound like what, what, here's the break Of the hearts that were recently made The songs I sing, didn't hear them But it's nothing that you can do 'Cause California took my Bobby away Now there's nothing left to do 'Cause California, you took my Bobby away Now there's nothing left to say You open up and you let 'em in To a place where nothing ever grows The ceremonies didn't keep him here Didn't keep him here away from you 'Cause California took my Bobby away Now there's nothing left to do California, you took my Bobby away Now there's nothing left to say
Sam Yem Yep, me too. Even though everything was cancelled I'm still glad I got to see a bunch of Austin that I wouldn't have seen otherwise. Now I'm definitely gonna go back. "Unfinished business"
Hey California + Texas locals, can you tell me anything about the story and the meaning behind the name and the lyrics of the song? As a psych lover from Finland I instantly guessed this somehow refers to 60's and 70's when a lot of Texas folks and artists had to flee to California. So "Bobby" would somehow refer to those people - or maybe to Janis Joplin? She was from Texas but made her breakthrough in California. And she sung about Bobby.. Anyway, I would love to hear your comments on what's this song about. Love from Finland to all friends of good music.
+ElComanchero Hi buddi, its in reference to El Paso legend Bobby Fuller, he died under very mysterious circumstances in the 60's. The song at the very end of this one is one of his.
Let Her Dance by The Bobby Fuller Four. Formed in El Paso and moved to California where Bobby Fuller died of mysterious circumstances in the 60s. They also did a fantastic cover of I fought the law.
