Anyone who knows anything about the industry knows what a cool event this is - it’s clearly not a brand deal or something done for exposure - to put it bluntly Ed is a global superstar…Busted are industry vets but they’re nowhere near his level of popularity at the moment…you can’t deny that. So for him to come and make time for them like this…as well as clearly knowing every word - it’s a massive honour for the Busted lads I’m sure. I’m not trying to talk down on Charlie James and Matt either - I’m a huge fan and like many other songwriters I learned the basic pop song structure from Busted (much like Ed might have), and they are all awesome musicians and writers themselves. I just think it’s MASSIVELY ignorant to voice your dissatisfaction with something that doesn’t concern you at all, when it clearly means a lot to them to have him there (the way they are always looking over like wow I can’t believe we got him here!) Would you prefer that the band you like didn’t get a massive compliment and have the opportunity to perform their song with one of the top musicians in the world currently? Just because “it’s not how you like it” or whatever. Next time maybe just don’t say anything, your ignorance is obvious.
