I think it's possible that the technology used to create segments may also be linked to the technology used by ei to create the raiden puppet and scaramouche. He may have done experiments on scaramouche since it has been mentioned that the fatui helped unlock scaramouche's full power as a creation by ei
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it! I didn't mention it in the video, but I think this might be the case too, although considering Dottore was already in the Fatui at that time he may have made the segments before meeting Scara and maybe enhanced them afterward. This could explain why he was doing research on him. Hopefully, the new update sheds some light on this point!

Since we’re talking about him, I’d like to share a very interesting theory that I found on Reddit (I don’t remember who posted it, but I just want everyone to know that this doesn’t come from me). So, apparently, Dottore’s segments may still be alive because their destruction could be a false memory implanted in Irminsul. If Dottore somehow made contact with the tree like Scaramouche, he could’ve very well fooled Nahida into thinking that his clones are gone since her consciousness is closely linked to Irminsul. Therefore, any changes brought to the tree can affect her, just like how Scaramouche managed to make her forget about him.
That would be pretty interesting if that was the case. I personally think he did delete them all (except of course the one that was talking to Nahida) because he can just make more that might be even better/stronger than his previous ones as he implied. Still, considering how sneaky he is, I wouldn't put it past him to pull something like this.

this creepily lines up with the fact that through Dottore's model leaks, he actually doesnt possess a "human" eye. Instead, behind his mask, his eyes looks like the ruin guards. This correlates with the Field Tiller reverse engineering theory
not only that, using that technology, Dottore has lived for more than 400 years, because in 3.3, it is confirmed that he was the perpetrator behind the whole Tatarasuna incident, which happened around 400 years ago after Ei lost Makoto. Which is saying something considering he's just a dropout scholar by that time
So if that's the case then maybe the real dottore is rlly weak and he just use his many segments to do tasks missions etc.

Considering we've seen it's possible to put your conscious in inanimate objects(like Ei and the sword), transfer it from one vessel to another too (like with Nahida)
And we know for a fact that he was born in a village (in sumeru I think) and got kicked out so he probably started out as human but turned into something else entirely somewhere along the way

The first 3 harbingers need to be on another level, especially Pierro. Not just in terms of strength but also in storytelling and lore.
I agree, they're really building expectations up for them. Although I think the writing has gotten so much better lately, so as long as they keep it up it'll turn out great. I can't wait to see what's in store for the future!
What I find to be the most fascinating thing about him is how he got himself the 2nd rank
Despite childe's voicelines about the harbinger ranked below him, columbina, implies that she's probably the most unsettling or terrifying one to fight against
But there is no mention of Dottore's fighting capabilities, only his intelligence and experimentation is brought up
I'm curious too, hopefully, the new archon quest gives us more insight into this! I really wonder what his relationship with the Tsaritsa is like, and I wonder if he's ever done any experiments on anyone else from the harbingers besides Scaramouche.
maybe childe or scara just didn't see how he fights? he's definitely got some ridiculous fighting skills. (no shit Sherlock 😭) I can't wait to see it. So far we got to know how smart he is. Specially if you've done scaramouche quest in 3.3 not much of him fighting tho :'))

Dottore is so fascinating to me because he seems to be shaped as this powerful being who, after recent events, seems to be behind a lot of stuff, yet there seems more to him than that. How is he 400 years old still human and so god-like? How can he make his segments one as far as 10 years old? Your theory may make sense but I wonder how he came to gain it - ruin machines and help from Pierro may be true but I think there may be even more to it which we haven’t seen yet. Either way , Dottore slays
You make a lot of good points, and I agree. I do think there's a lot we have yet to understand about him and there are probably some parts to the puzzle that this theory is missing. I can't wait to learn more about this in the future, it's such a fascinating topic!

If you're correct then the original Dottore is actually one of the weakest Harbingers, with his segments being his source of power, he is currently much weaker now that he erased them. And it'll take some time for him to regain those segments.
You make a good point! The topic of the "original Dottore" is a really interesting one. There is still one segment of his left (the selfish one), but where is the "original"? I wonder if he even still exists or if it's just whichever one of the segments is left, that sounds like a risky setup though. I'm excited to see if we find out more about this soon!

@@ashl3y511 That's what I currently think as well, although there's still so little info on this topic that it's a bit hard to say at the moment. I'm curious to know how the "original" keeps himself alive, and what his goals are as of now in comparison to when he first joined the fatui. Hopefully, we get more info on this soon!

Another interesting thing is that Scaramouche is confident he can take on Dottore's clones. That implies not all his clones are godly. But again, he also said he would fight Columbina so he is probably just cocky.
Honestly, Columbina is probably the harbinger I'm most interested to learn more about. I have my own theories as to who she might be, but as of rn we just don't have much info on her. Although, I do think Scara is being a bit generous to himself with those statements, lol.

Or she's more like capitano who's the strongest mortal in tevyat. Another interesting theory is that capitano is probably the blood stained knight and colombina might be the maiden (maidens beloved)
@@ravikeerthi5272 She's so mysterious, I hope we find out more details about her soon. I think her past might be deeply connected to Pierro's goals, but there's still so much we don't know about that either. I'm really excited to see who she turns out to be!
What if dottre segments are as powerful as sandrone robot bodyguard and if it is I wonder if it has anything to do with the big robot in sumeru it could of been one of dottre projects before he got kicked out of the academy and now probably my worst theory if Fontaine is going to have many puppets can we expect a puppet in Fontaine working for the faitui because the heavenly principles seem to be there
Ooh, that is a good point! I wonder what Dottore and Sandrone's relationship is like and whether they work together on this sort of technology or if they each have their own different ways of utilizing it. I also really think you might be right about the puppets being at the center of the plot in Fontaine, maybe we will meet Sandrone there or fight an army of them for the weekly boss! 👀

The fact that he's only 2nd yet is capable of creating a god ( prolly he himself is one already considering how much experimentation and modification + years of studying the khaenri'ah, gods and their powers ) it is also important to keep in mind, that Dottore killed ursa the drake a powerful dragon not even venti, an archon could handle alone. This was by the way a weaker segment, which means the prime segement is capable of so much more. It was humanity's pride and might manifested physically. This makes me scared for what Capitano and Pierro is capable of

This has probably been mentioned in the commends of this video before, but it's heavily implied that Dottore (known as Zandik at the time) was responsible for the death of another student due to him tampering with the ruin machines. However, it seemed like that academy was already wary/against the study of those machines in the first place, but this was the final straw that led to his expulsion (the first of 3) from Sumeru and them banning it outright.

I don't think ruin machines could reach the same power level of the gods but I do agree that Dottore's segments are made of something from Khaen'riah technology that may be much more powerful than the ruin golems that we see in Sumeru. If I remember it was also mentioned that not of his intellect but his combat ability is enough to ranked him 2nd so he must be really powerful physically. In the manga one of his segment also killed Ursa the Drake, a dragon who has been terrorizing Mondstadt for more than 1000 years so yeah that is also another evidence of his power

I do think he might have pushed the technology past even what it was, to begin with by incorporating things he learned from researching Scaramouche, and maybe help from Sandrone, so he probably is more powerful than even the ruin golems we see in Sumeru. Hopefully, we get some more insight into these things soon, I'm excited to learn more about it!
I think the ruin machine technology is capable of producing units of such quality that they can rival gods but the guards are mass produced and powered by a weaker core. I believe the peak of that technology to be scara and raiden.

Good point! I do think there's more to it than just what I described, but we'll just have to wait and see what it may be. I wouldn't be surprised if Dottore took things a step further and developed some sort of technology we haven't even seen yet.

Interestingly, from a visual perspective, Dottore actually bares a striking resemblance to Griseo's father, although their personalities couldn't be more different. Thank goodness Collei didn't end up like Sirin.😥

More likely each segment is of a different level of strength, the one we meet is the Omega build, implying it is the strongest version.

Tbh, after watching Nahida’s allegory of the foxes, I don’t think this was always the case. Yes, he may have been born with something dark within him, but I don’t believe it was as strong as now. It probably got reinforced by the rejection of others, which could be why he now has no regard for humanity.

In his convo with Pierro from the Pale flame artifact set, he asks if he'll just chase him away and call him a monster like the people of his hometown did. After He's reassured that the fatui believes in his vision for advancing humanity he agrees to join. So, I think there is some part of him that does actually long to be part of a community of some sort and wants others' acknowledgment, but over time it's been buried by his resentment for others, and so his instinct is always to just destroy what he feels he can't have himself, or something like that. I'm really curious as to whether we'll get more insight into this in the future, and I can't wait to find out!

@@2nd_of_the_Fatui_Harbingers Yeah, a common theme in Hoyoverse's games is the cycle of Karma and causality concerning how people develop and react to the world. So if you start a chain of gratitude between people eventually that chain will grow and leave a positive impact on others. Still, on the flip side if you plant the seeds of hatred and let them bloom they will also continue to impact everyone affected by them and form a chain of their own. Interestingly, this concept was even brought up directly in the AQ itself. To quote one of the mangas for their other game, Honkai Impact 3rd: "Gratitude may be an eternal arc, but know that every twisted vine of hatred ultimately grew from a seed".
Of course, this doesn't excuse any of his evil deeds, but I think it's always more important to understand why characters are the way they are than it is to agree with them or even like them. Empathizing with them is always better than just sympathizing with them, at least Imo, and I feel this idea is core to the way Hoyoverse writes their characters and their stories in general.
His power is probably comparable to the ancient god Osial, who could easily be slain by Zhongli. I highly doubt he’s too powerful for Nahida, and Nahida was just saying a half-truth to cover for her own patronage to the Fatui. And, if Dottore *is* too powerful for Nahida to stop, that would imply he (in Dungeons and Dragons terms) has legendary resistances, and therefore, if Nahida tried to possess him to make him walk away without the dendro gnosis, he’d use a legendary resistance to automatically pass a wisdom/charisma saving throw, then take the dendro gnosis by force before he loses all those resistances

Nahida is a very weak archon though.
I mean it's clear he's done that since Scaramouche is reverse engineered Khaenriahn tech and he used that knowledge to make his segments, and we know he IMPROVED Scaramouche too. That's quite the feat given the fact Scara was made by a god already.

But all segments are still not confirmed to be as strong as archons no? If that was the case it would be absurd, i think although he is powerful asf, it is with all of his segments combined he equals an archon, and a high archon at that since power differences between archons are very big. Also, it was confirmed by chinese players that childes voiceline got mistranslated, so the strength does not just imply battle prowess. Political power, intelligence, all counts to strength. If thats true, a man like dottore who is probably like one of the smartest and most knowledeable people of teyvat that also produces all of fatui’s technology, is of course going to be ranked higher than columbina, whos probably there because of her power. Also another thing, if all of dottores segments were equal to an archon, all they would need to overthrow celestia would be to focus all their finances and power on creating an army of dottores segments. My guess about the power rankings is, each dottore segment is equal to a demigod (like yae miko, xiao) and dottore at his full potential (which i think is not just limited to his segments, he probably has a whole ass arsenal of weapons and equipments like iron man) is equal to ei in terms of power. I say ei because she is the only example of a really powerful archon atm, venti and johnly is not at their prime anymore, i would rank both of them even lower than nahida. Columbina, im guessing, is also equal to ei, with pierro being even stronger.
These are very good points! Personally, I think the gods of Celestia might be on a completely different level than the archons because unlike the archons who mainly just have command over the elements, they probably have command over the fundamental laws of nature (as shown with Istaroth who controls time). So, I'm not sure if Dottore would stand a chance against them even with an army of segments. Also, as he said to Nahida, making segments requires a lot of time and rare materials so Idk if he could whip up a sizable army to begin with. Hopefully we'll get to see a bit of his true power once we get to Fontaine, I can't wait to see how he fights!

The only guessing part was columbina being stronger than dottore, you know, its a guess. Theres no way pantalone who is pretty much just a businessman with no vision being stronger than tartaglia who has a vision, a delusion, and an abyssal transformation. And if he is im ready to call it bad writing.
@@IIDottoreII yeah ofc he can have a delusion, but delusions are not enough to put them on the harbinger ranks, then anyone could be a harbinger. Tartaglia has a delusion too, and he is also trained by a woman who literally lives in the abyss (uncorrupted), which is canonically the most dangerous place in teyvat, and he also survived there for 3 months. Im not saying pantalone is not a fighter or weak, but if hes stronger than tartaglia it would be absurd. There are people like scara and signora who are much more stronger than even the average vision bearer. A human with no vision is not going to make it to this list by force. The only explanation i can think of for your argument is if dottore have already experimented on pantalone and gave him upgrades, which would mean we cant categorise him as human anymore. Im not saying its not a possibility but the ranks not being solely based on force also makes it more exciting, we wouldnt really know who is stronger than who, until they reveal it.

Can you make a theory about Capitano's power? According to leaks he is not just the strongest human but the strongest individual in teyvat only behind phanes, and the 4 shades. Capitano reminds me of Kevin from honkai ( and guess what? They are both no.1 in rank in their respective factions) Kevin kaslana is basically a peak human. An overpowered human thats capable of killing herscherrs( the archons of honkai) my theory is, Dottore might have been behjnd Capitano's enhanced powers just like dr. Mei with Kevin. Capitano was likely a normal human before but was enhanced further by Dottore when he was recruited, now he is a peak human, a powerful human thats got all his attributes maxxed out capable of killing gods. To put it simply, Capitano is basically Kratos of genshin

That leaves 4 and 10, one of Arlecchino's people thought it was the perfect opportunity for her to move up ranks after Signora's death, so she is definitely 10.
Also leakers were the ones who said that Capitano is the strongest mortal, which is more plausible, but he wouldn't be stronger than Pierro or Dottore who are no longer human and Columbina is obviously not human, the first two are confirmed immortals and Columbina likely is one.
Zhongli is the oldest archon by far and has been worshipped the longest, the archons get their strength from the worship of their people as stated by Venti, so logically Zhongli should be stronger than anyone in Tevyat right now, also he was known as a warrior god even in the old days when he was much weaker.
As for archon strength it goes:
Zhongli>Ei>Venti>Nahida.

Well, theres always a chance a leak can be false, but the fact that the matter is we have no way of telling that unless we see it for ourselves, tbh, team china was also the one who leaked About Dottore, sumeru AQ, And the top 3 harbingers info, which all turned out to be true. Childe's point is very misleading he said first harbinger but that does not necessarily mean rank no. 1 in strength. Arlecchino is not 10, because if she was that low scaramouche will have nothing nice to say about her he has said nothing nice about anyone lower than him, that info about her people is also misleading it does not mean she is rank 10, zhongli is past his prime, he's washed, in the past maybe but not now . And no archon strength is Ei> Zhongli>Venti> nahida (currently ). You're ranking is valid if its the past.
Also, watch the lazzo trailer again, read the description on the YT vid, Pierro is not described as a harbinger but rather director of the fatui, and being a director ≠1 in strength
I think we'll know Capitano's true rank in fontaine, because the habinger assigned there is arlecchino, if her rank is revealed we can potentially predict Capitano's rank.
If Arlecchino is rank 4, then obviously Capitano would be 1, because unlikely he'd be 10.
If Arle is indeed 10, then theres a chance Capitano is 4

That's just headcanon.
Also if we go by Wanderer's and Childe's voice overs we can see that the order of Harbingers is Pierro 1st, Capitano 2nd and Dottore 3rd.
Even there Capitano is 2nd at most, but we already know Dottore is 2nd and both him and Capitano take orders from Pierro.

This is complete headcanon, I am basing my argument on how the genshin world works, you're just basing it off your feelings.
Venti's comments already disprove this argument and same with what Signora said, she said Zhongli could easily defeat Osial, so he obviously isn't any weaker than the past.
So since Zhongli is the oldest and has been worshipped for that long he is also the strongest, again just how the genshin world works with their gods.
