I wish it was you that picked up my bike yesterday. Yesterday the guy rode my bike right to the top of the inclined flatbed, applied the front break and slid all the way down again. A miracle nothing was damaged and no one hurt. Great demo / video.
That was a good load, Bikes are hard to tow. You can put a zip tie on the brake lever after pushing it on the bed, this will keep it from rolling if the clutch slip. Cool channel

Wish I wouldve known that earlier today, had to tow a motorcycle with a broken clutch cable, bike was in neutral and had some other issue with going into gear. Luckily the owner was there so I wasn't solo on it and had him stabilize it, but I will keep this in mind for next time.
Excellent, thanks! I'm having to get my BMW bike towed next week for the first time (recall service) since buying it in 2009. This helped me make sure the towing company I hired will do a good job.
In my career of 8 years being tow truck driver, and towing I'll say more than 200 bikes , I only had 2 bikes when I have to load it by my self .... bouth of them was havy harleys. First one I did rolled on bad as you did , than throw a strap across the seat of a bike , its hold it very well while I'm raised the bad. Second bike I'd tow , was stuck on gear and clutch handle wasn't reacting. So i have to drag it with winch cable up on a bed !!! It was total nightmare !! It took me 30 minutes to figure out how to rigged up 2 snatch blocks with strap, chain and winch controlled handle so I can operate it from distance !!! )) Everything on that tow went well , and I learned something new !! For instance ..it is very helpful to have 2 or even more snatch blocks in your flatbed !!))
The only thing I do different is , if I’m pushing it up by myself I’d stay on the side with the kick stand, that way if it does come over on me the kick stand will catch it or at least slow it down
I've towed a few, but luckily they were wrecked so didn't have to be too careful with them. My stepdad had to tow a Harley one time and we had to have help getting it on the bed.
@@Towvibes the best part when I got it back to the yard, the forklift took straps and raised right of the bed lol, either way you saved me man! be safe out their brother ⛓⛓🛻
thank you buddy for the idea I’m always looking to ad new content I hope this video helps sucks when you have to turn away calls I’m here to help so you guys can make more $...
I had to do my first one the other day, Luckily is was a POS crotchrocket. I had the owner stabilize the bike while i used my Jhooks to winch it up from the shocks. Then strapped it down from the passenger foot support. It worked pretty good.
If you put those front straps more of an angled toward the front of the truck hello stop the mites and going back rear straps for good they're pulling towards the rear that way that might can't rock loosen up
Very impressed how you got the bike on your flatbed. Get a six function bed remote control. That eliminates asking somebody to run your controls. Or trying to figure out how to run your controls and load the bike at the same time. You can go to any exotic bike dealership and they’ll show you how to strap a bike to your flatbed. They even have straps they’ll sell you. I only use two soft straps and piece of Velcro for the front hand brake. Only takes five minutes to load/unload.
brother your absolutely right I plan on getting a set for sure but there not cheap it’s hard atm keeping insurance paid and trucks maintained and still have $ for upgrades but I plan on getting some for sure and I will look into these straps you speak of thank you for your comment my tow brother stay frosty watch your 6!
nice video man you are a beast rolling it up the bed like that lol. Only thing i saw was make sure that ratchet j hook is up on the end of the cleat and not the middle. subbed
Absolutely I agree I was just so eager to shoot the video thank you for your constructive criticism I appreciate you be safe out there from your pal oz @ Giannas’s towing!
Well that is me doing it with a gold wing 800 lbs pound bike with no remote by my self I have a video of me strapping down and loading a Harley special edition also in there! 🏍💪🪝
Fuck me, I thought you almost dropped it. Get yourself a looped strap round the front forks then winch her on bit more controlled. If you don’t have remote then pushing i guess works. Liked the way you just tilted it off the back mind. I was given these straps to go over the handlebars worst fucking things ever would not recommend.
lol me too but years of experience has taught me if that happens to lock up your leg to act like a kick stand usually u don’t have a 850 pound bike most of the time there smaller bikes thank you for the comment brother be safe out there!
@@Towvibes First damage claim and you will have one, they are well worth the price. Also takes all the work out of loading them AND no need for help. I do about 50 a year and will not do another one without the Condor
This video taught me years ago how to strap a bike down solo most guys wouldn't dare try this. I love this method!! Thanks bro!!
I’ll be doing an updated video to this!

Yah you have to lock front and back up it won’t slide!
And hence why you're looking up a video of how to load a motorcycle 😂
Even though you weren't going to drive anywhere with it loaded you still made sure to do a final tighten down good shit
Thanks bro , im a Tow Truck Operator as well and im picking up a bike sat , i needed to know how to hook it up
Thanks for sharing this tow bro... Be safe and GOD bless..

Thanks for that video after I bought the condor but you never now thanks again 🤙
Wow ! Great job. I never saw anyone load a bike by them self like that.
yah it’s always tricky loading a big bike but then I remember how much my truck payment and insurance is and then I summon extra powers!
Great video man, thanks for taking your time teaching us!

I've literally had this happen! Yep stay on the kickstand side of the bike.

thats how i do it but a stage a couple straps so i can secure the front end to keep it from tipping over .
yah bro do what works for you brother!

like to see a old sling tow truck carry a bike i used to use that in the 80s
I use a condor system. Makes it way easier on your own

I would secure it before I tilt the bed
I usually put my hooks in the front wheel or a strap then you k ow it won't slide back.
Very Impressive!
thank you sir I hope you guys really find this video useful I know I have turned to the tube many times for towing vids!
Is there a part 2 for unloading a giant motorcycle?
put a Velcro strap on the front brake and leave it in gear un hook it take off straps let her rip I have a few vids doing bikes
@@Towvibes sounds good! 👍
Can you show how to use a snatch block to recover perpendicular on the side of the highway?
I’ve got quite a few of snatch block videos look through some of my older stuff really you have to set it at the end of the bed then run it at a 45.
Would like to see more videos on how to do this alone with no remote

Never load it by yourself unless you absolutely have to. Zip tie front brake lever once on bed
Yes Eric very true always use 2 people if u can but sometimes it’s just you and to make it worse it can be on highway at night time!
I like to use the blue towels to protect against the metal chrome on the bike. Meanwhile.......clang, clang, clang!
yes sir you know what’s up!
Much respect
thank you for the kind words!
I have the exact same roll back you do.
hold on to it great trucks getting harder to find they went up a ton in value change oil rotella every 5k they last long time!

I have towed a gold wing , have to customer help me .
Wrong side of bike loading it strap that bite before you put that bed up
That bike has to be over 800lbs lol
800
I turn the bike sideways and put a strap on it to load and unload by myself
Any video tips are appreciated
We won't tow bikes unless owner of the bike is with it to help.
Technically hes not "towing" the bike
