So even if he did have a soul, the guy is a higher being so Kai's power isn't really going to do anything except earn him a laugh cause he thought he could try. Death should have died when he went through the Star Blast Walls, and went in a second time. He knows where you are at all times, he knows what to do, he chooses when you aren't worthy of the life given to you and he can be unfair and take it away. Kai might be stronger, but going against, perhaps some type of God and thinking you're gonna win is stupid. Until Kai realizes Death is actual _Death,_ he knows there is no fight, that is if he's smart enough.
