- STREET FOOD IN TÜRKİYE - In this video, I will take you on a street food adventure in remote TÜRKİYE where we will have an exotic Turkish breakfast and some of the best Turkish street food in Şanlıurfa.
Our Turkish street food tour in Şanlıurfa, TÜRKİYE, starts early in the morning by having an amazing Tirit soup.
As a second breakfast, we couldn't miss the exotic liver and kidney kebabs.
To continue our street food in TÜRKİYE, we went to a local restaurant inside the bazaar where we had some of the best lamb meat in Şanlıurfa.
After that, we went next door to have the famous Turkish ice cream with honey and pistachio. It was to die for.
After visiting the main Şanlıurfa attraction, Balıklıgöl, we decided to end our street food tour by going to a very special restaurant where they serve traditional Urfa food and other delicious specialties of TÜRKİYE.

Nice to see you back in Turkey mate, I recommend you pay a visit to place called kalkan, I guarantee you will fall in love with the place. There are nice restaurants serving great dishes. I used to live in there and run a restaurant myself before moving to uk. It’s famous with it’s terrace restaurants, with great view. Have a lovely time.👍🧿

Yes, the starting breakfast with yogurt and broth and this sweets, comforting.
I think they repeatedly pound out the air in the ice cream to keep it from melting.
Still, Italian gelato in brioche is something that must be experienced someday !

Hey, the turkish Ice Cream uses an ingredient called Salep which is tulip root, it gives it that slight herbal taste and is the main reason for its very weird consistency.

Actually it‘s orchid root, also another overlooked ingredient is goat milk.

Max, the Kahraman Maras dondurma (don means to freeze in Turkish, dondur is the process of freezing and dorduma is the product of whatever is frozen) is made with goat milk, Turkish salep and mastic gum from mastic trees like the sap from pine trees is the element that slows the melting process and gives the ice cream its stretchy property. Due to the hot climate of the region of southeast Turkey the use of mastic is key to making the ice cream melt. Mastic is a natural gum sap from the Mastik tree also provides aroma and an unique fresh taste and smell. When this is combined with Salep or crushed orchid seed and fresh goats milk the unique aromatic smell, taste, hard stretchy texture and heat resistance.
