Electrocoat entry (corrosion protection coat of paint) at the BMW plant in Spartanburg, SC. This uses the Durr RoDip conveyor.

Primer is still used. It's required to protect the ecoat from light.

Holy shit, I've been in the E-coating business for 20 years,
Having a BMW ready for paint would be an honor. There are
multiple "air pockets" {hence} "bare metal" spots under the front
headlamps guaranteed! The angle wasn't accurate. Try again:(

Trust me, it works, the angle is specified by the conveyor anyway (like the complete automotive industry does) and BMW takes this into account as early as the design phase of the body

the bath has flow, and the job immersed will be in vibration. air bubbles are dealt with those..
