Just got the otter app! My second book has been giving me hell. I stopped at chapter nine and haven’t been back in two months! Eek. I need to finish it soon to get to book 3, hopefully it helps.

Hey, love your video. I have written four novels of my fantasy series. There were a few times where I ran into major writers block. I found the best thing for me was just to walk away for a couple of days and not think about writing. Then out of nowhere ideas come flooding in from everywhere.
I've never tried to write a series, so seeing your journey with one is pretty eye-opening. For some reason I thought subsequent books would be the easy part, but your struggles make sense! Thanks for sharing your process, it's really interesting!
Yip, I can totally understand when you work on your book or not. Last 2 weeks been in a good reading mood for Teas Gerritsen books. Since the whole day today, i decided to work on a scene, and when I got stuck on the piece about a middle age woman and her bad teeth. It only click that I was busy working on the beginning scene of chapter 8, forgetting to work on chapter 7 notes. And I know that you will always make sure that the scene works to your advantage.
