Awe, Yonghuang sneaking out to visit Ruyi soon as he could was so cute and filial of him. And later on Ruyi picking out better brushes for his studies/caligraphy work. They truly were like mother and son regardless of blood relations. I just wish he'd been able to grow into full adulthood. Sad what happened to him.

I wonder how Hailan felt towards the end of the show; knowing that she couldn’t do much to avoid the fate of both Ruyi and her baby boy. I wonder if she was able to find some peace on her own after all the events of the show; I really hope she did. She was such a loyal devoted friend.
