- This time at the Quick Speed Shop I'm doing a tool review on the Astro Pneumatic Tools 1442 13" Hand Rivet Nut Setter Kit. This tool retails for $59.99 on Amazon and is used to insert nutserts into blind holes where you can get behind your bolt to attach a normal nut. The tool seems to work pretty well and should help me out in several situations where I need to have parts bolted together, but have no access to the rear of the panels.
Please like, share, and subscribe. I put out new videos every Wednesday and Saturday.

Thanks for the review, Someday I hope to buy one of those handy tools.
Nice tool! Thank you for the review.
good video. Its not a complicated process and no need for a complicated video. This one was to the point.
Got a lot of blind holes and never knew there was a tool for this. Excellent vid, bro. Buying 1 today! Thanks!
I use mine all the time!
Perfect.
Thank you for the video.
thank you for this video ..
threaded inserts ... I just
bought this kit . Usually ,
I used pop rivets .... 👍
One of the best tools I have ever bought.
Nice 👍
FOURTH!! It is Christmas AGAIN -- super tool..
I am going to use this on a parts tray, where i have access
to the under side or back side of the tray. I am going to
install wheels onto the tray so that I can use it underneath the car.
The rivet nut will be on the underside extending beyond the thickness of the tray.
This will give the wheels more clearance so the wheels will operate more freely.
The plastic sheet on top will cover the rivets with no bumps. If there are bumps
I will use a bolt to countersink the head of the rivet into the tray more to eliminate
that problem. I will use a 17/32 drill to drill the holes for the rivets. The studs on
the wheels are 3/8 x 16 size and 1 inch in length. The studs on the wheels should
be good as they are and shouldn't have to be cut. I don't know how this will all
work out we'll see.
just made up my mind, I'm buying one.
I use mine all the time. It works great.
How did it work on the nuts you put into your frame? I want to use it on square, steel tubing and wondering about the nut's holding power in a thicker wall.
I haven't used them in the frame yet. My frame rails are 11 ga and the test piece was 14 ga. There was plenty of engagement on the test piece so I think they will work good on the frame. I think 1/4" thick material is about the limit of how thick you could put these nutserts in.
@@QuickSpeedShop Thanks!
when it say 8mm does it mean 8x1.0? 8x1.5??
I don't know. I don't use metric hardware and don't know the difference.
Ratcheting would make it easier.
What’s pneumatic about it? It’s just a regular old manual lever style tool.
The company is Astro Pneumatic.
Lol ah got it. Sorry about that.🤦♂️
NOT FURST
After you "squeezed it in place" did you "back it out" telepathically using mind control?, because we never saw you do anything, all we saw was the black tool thread 'magically' unscrewing itself. If you are going to make videos pay attention to details like that. The difference between hacks and guys who take pride on what they do.
Guess I'm a hack. This thing isn't complicated. If you can't figure out that I turned the giant thumb screw that is attached to the threads backwards to get it out without literally seeing my fingers do it...then...I don't know what to say.
