Thank you Carson Cloud for this great walkthrough. Through the same process with PowerShell, I'd like to install windows 10 that is already downloaded and awaiting in Software Center. How do I proceed with this automation? Thank you for your response
What application are you using to create the Package? Is an standard app included in windows? I want to create a package to copy an exe file and some dll files into a folder in c: drive Is this possible With this tool?
@@CarsonCloud yes, right now we have a bat file to copy and unzipe a file. Also, it grant access to the destination folder (c:/app/toolname) This bat file need to be run with admin user. our Helpdesk team has requested to standardize the install process to include the installation package in the Software center. So the final users can do it themselves . But I don’t know how to create the installation package.
So it needs to know what application to point to to run the PS script, so he points it towards the file location of powershell in System32. From there, it now knows which application to use to open the file. Now he specifies particular arguments to run the file (i.e, silent mode, force reboot, etc)
This is a great and useful video, could you kindly post a video also with the powershell script you're using for removal. Thank you soo much!!
@carson Cloud thanks for sharing the info, would you please also share the PowerShell script used for uninstalling apps ?
