    Tommy Vance was one of the best DJ's of that era.

    Rainbow on their way to #3 with I Surrender. That was a nice happening.

    I think music would get better around 1982, 83, all the offbeat, fun, intelligent, creative bands like Blancmange, Tears for Fears, Yello, Thomas Dolby, Fun Boy Three emerging, of course there was good music before then like Magazine, Gang of Four, Kraftwerk etc but this chart seems a bit pale for my tastes.

    As Tommy said, 'Imagine' is a classic and too good for that particular chart. This is when music became rubbish and has been so ever since.
