it's so wild hearing how male friendships aren't valued/appreciated in the first question. you should absolutely prioritize an old friend even though you have a girlfriend, you should absolutely talk to your friend, if you feel neglected and want to see him more. it shouldn't actually be okay for guys to ghost their good friends for 6-12 months just because they get in romantic relationships and apparently can't maintain more than one relationship. luckily i think the conversation around male friendships and emotional needs have evolved a lot over the last 5 years in many circles, which is why i was particularly shocked to hear these guys (who have very close friends, that they a fortunate enough to work with!) have such cold takes. i also think/hope that their answers would be a little different today
