On 7 don!! against black decks (mirror included) I usually love to play one of the babies and Sabo after so that when I awaken next turn I can go Hyori/Flampe, baby, luffy effect, go 9k and be able to still play a 5 cost from hand. I thinks this is the optimal play at 7 against black. Went 8-4 in Utrecht didn't make top cut, but won 4 mirrors out of 5💪 congrats again on the achievement!
Another advanced tip is to actually not use garp/event on your 1 don turn. BY is a puzzle deck, you find your pieces you win. On 3 don you don’t really have a play so instead use your searcher on 3 don so if you had drawn into something that you needed now you can grab something else off the search
I went up a pluffy yesterday and won locals. You were right Kuzan was the answer I focused on keeping him alive if I could )I saw all 3 of mine and used 2 of them) survived just enough to keep removing big bodies with luffy. Didn’t even have to use raigo. I am also running smoker this format good BB matchup. I went up against bello, pluffy, bp luffy, and Yamato. No blackbeard or shanks yesterday will be updating as I go through those matchups. I love watching by luffy game been my main for 2 formats now.
@@CastawayBall i don’t think it’s worth playing in the current meta since most decks play tall bodies so tbolt doesnt do much but i think it would good in the doffy matchup.
@@coldhandsOPTCGapologize for all the questions what should I sub out to put in the Kuzans in ? The Namis? Or the makino and K.O sabo? I’m just trying to get better at locals .. I’m a little tired of being at the last tables 😂
@@brick123wall456 it really depends on the situation sometimes you need yo search so that you can play without ur morias but if you searched and havent bottom decked any morias you may consider not searching since you may draw a moria
my problem piloting this deck is always trying to not trash from life while it's face down, so many times I have trashed a moria out of life with ST luffy.... or also searched over moria and bottomed him, just so unlucky

is the 5000 swing not worth it on 3 don? I used to do this but ive found the garp 5000 to be better more consistently

One thing I get confused by as a BY pilot is that are you supposed to avoid using searchers if you don’t have Moria?
