The video is extremely helpful. I have the same cart and installed the same controller. I am having issues "Precharging too fast error" which is described as 1)The main contactor may be welded closed 2)Or if a large power regen resistor is installed (RXV only) it is incorrectly connected to the battery side of the main contactor. I believe is issue resides with the small gray wire which is connected to the resistor. Can you confirm that this is connected to the same side of the resistor that is connected "R" along with the cable provided with the controller?
I like the video, I just bought the same exact cart. I’ve been going back and forth weather to have the stock Danaher turned up or upgrade to the navitas. Was it worth the $$ in your opinion? Have you had any of the “standard” 08’ issues?
I would say it is definitely worth it. Navitas has great customer service and tech support was very helpful. The only 08 issue I have run into was the speed sensor had to be replaced after the upgrade. The cart was jerky and when I called support they quickly diagnosed the issue and after replacing the sensor the cart works like a champ.
Does it matter which side of the resistor goes to the controller and which side goes to the solenoid? I did this upgrade on my 2014 RXV. The resistor cable isn't long enough to reach my new location where I mounted the MZJ-400a solenoid. One side of the resistor goes to controller and one side goes to solenoid. Just wondering does it matter which side goes where?
I'm not 100% sure that you can or can't. I don't think those type of resistors have a + or - so you should be able to hook it up either direction. You might hit up Navitas customer service they are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Nice video. Was your factory controller bad? If so how did you determine it was faulty? I have an RXV that is not working and trying to troubleshoot. Thanks
The Danaher is a grey controller and the Curtis is black, you have to take off the panel that holds the tow run switch to best see it. The 2008 to about 2012.5 came with the Danaher from the factory.
hey guys. Anyone here know a guy that has one of the Danaher handsets that would be willing to shoot me the wiring diagram at the serial port plug at the base of the handset? My girls yanked my wires out...

What did you do wit the resistor module?
I have a 2012 Ezgo RXV with a Danaher controller, I want to do this upgrade but how do I know if my cart is AC drive?
All RXV models are AC drive, TXT are the DC counterpart 👍

I replaced the Danaher for more performance, the controller still worked fine. The guys at Buggies Gone Wild forums are really helpful 👍
@@UTFreak23 Did you see any speed increase since changing it out?
@@David25522 yes I was around 20mph before now I am running around 28-29
@@UTFreak23 Thanks for the quick response.
@@UTFreak23 Btw did you order your 2 gauge wire or make one?
If you did order one please give me the link.
Thanks a lot!
Does it matter if you get the navitas for the Curtis or the danaher since the controller is going to be replaced?
Yes, because the harness that you plug into is different for each brand
What is the top speed and where do I get navitas controller harness and some controllers? Thank you
My tires are slightly larger than stock tires and I can easily hit 28 with room to spare. You can get the controllers all over internet.
Ok, my controller has to be replaced... can anyone offer insight to which one to install... the 440 amp TAC 2 or the 600 amp TAC1?
will a t48 controller fit in an rxv?
Not sure what you mean by a T48 controller?
How do I know if mine has danaher, navitas or curtis?

@@UTFreak23 Can you send me the link for the Navitas kit.

Hi do you have diagrams for bttery connection of the same type of gcrt?
