Is Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe or Zambia?

- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2021
- Victoria falls #Zimbabwe and #Zambia is the largest waterfall in the world. It is twice the height of North America’s Niagara Falls. The falls are full from February to May with April being the peak due to the flooding of the Zambezi river.During the flood season, however, it is impossible to see the foot of the falls and most of its face, and the walks along the cliff opposite it are in a constant shower and shrouded in mist.
The falls are about 1.7km in length and 108m high. There are 19 viewpoints 1-15 are on the Zimbabwean side while 16-19 are on the Zambian side. Buckle up as I take you on an viewing adventure from different viewpoints.
#Victoriafalls is part of the Zambezi River which is the fourth largest river in Africa spanning across 6 countries
In 1855, David Livingstone British explorer was the first European to witness the majestic Mosi oa Tunya. He named it Victoria Falls in honor of Queen Victoria of England. He said
"No one can imagine the beauty of the view from anything witnessed in England."

THE best view by far is when you in zimbabwe side. coz u c as u facing it directly
One think I love about Zim and Zambia is we live side by side a s neighbours peacefully,
the falls belong to all of us Africans.
That's the spirit we all need🙏🏾
No the fall's belongs to ZAMBIA but the river Zambezi River belongs to us all
@@davies1simbayi the Victoria falls town is in Zim 75%of the falls are in Zim 25%in Zambia
#Facts
The Zambezi river starts in Zambia goes to Angola Zimbabwe then Mozambique
@@NdauTribe13 bruh Zimbabwe literally has 500 meters of the falls while Zambia has 1.2. Im speaking facts not just made up numbers. However the Zimbabwe side has a wider view of the falls while Zambia has a knife edge view of the falls. Both angles are good to view from nevertheless.
@@NdauTribe13 Zimbabwe got lucky because the border was drawn in the wrong place. The people on both sides on that part of the river are Tonga. Since 95% of the Tonga live in Zambia, and only 5% live in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and the Botswana, the river is rightly Zambian. You Shona should not be coming from Masvingo to spread confusion. The river starts in Zambia, flows in Zambia for most of its course, gives the name to country Zambia, and gets its name from the Tonga people who always called in Kasambabezi; how are you non-Tonga Zimbabweans involved in this?

Wonderful Jehova, man above all and his wonders,we are so greatful 💯
God is not 'man'. I hope you meant 'name' above.
The Smoke that Thunders is truly beautiful
Beautiful. You should definitely make Zambia your next stop 🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲
No. Let the confusionist be on her way out of Southern African
The side zambia is much beautiful go to that side.
I appreciate the correctness in your statement "David Livingstone British explorer was the first European to witness the majestic Mosi oa Tunya." Not this thing they tell us that he discovered the falls.
David Livingstone was not an explorer. The KhoiSan had been in the area for 15, 000 years and the Tonga had been in it for 1300 years. The Kololo arrived there 15 years before he did, and they are the ones who told him about the falls and took him there.
One of the 7 natural wonders of the world🔥🔥💪🏽
African Tigress thank you for this exceptional professional journalism and report on our beautiful Motherland waterfall which is sandwiched between Zambian and Zimbabwe, you have provided a more accurate report unlike SKY News a Western mainstream media whose report on our beautiful African waterfall was INACCURATE. African Tigress, you and Wode Maya have shown that Africans are CAPABLE of telling our own stories and it's time to stop depending on others. Asante Asana!! 🙂🙂🇰🇪🇰🇪🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Wow..Zimbabwe has so much to offer...much love from your sister

I think majority of this waterfalls is on the Zambian side i visited this place last year from Houston Texas 🇺🇸
Did you visit the Zim side Tony?
@@earthlycitizen2155 it depends with what you like,as for me I’m Zambian but I love both views.
@@earthlycitizen2155 For what sir? What do you ve there that we dont?
Yes Zambia has the biggest part of the Victoria Falls….
No 3quarters of the falls is in Zimbabwe . Zimbabwe has the lion’s share
This is a wonder. The chopper view was awesome.
Am glad the proposal by Disneyland to build($300million) biggest theme park in Africa in Victoria falls was disapproved by Zim government as the falls should remain in its natural state without the influence of modern infrastructure which would subsequently compromise the ecosystem of the area eg. wildlife etc.
Oh really that's fantastic
Thank you Daughter of African
Watching from Canada🇨🇦 but l’m from Zimbabwe🇿🇼 l actually live 30 minutes drive from Niagara Falls and yes Victoria falls is so much bigger and more beautiful than Niagara loool ahaha😃😍thanks for your beautiful videos… missing home like crazy😩n ur vids make me feel so much better😃❤️

Wow. I was denied a visitors visa to Canada in 2019, yet Canadians come to see our falls in Zim. 🤷🏾♂️
Richard Kambinda I hear you but even Africans can be tourists overseas as well. I simply wanted to see Niagara & return to Zimbabwe. Like sister AT here I travel a lot.
@@JoeQuansa I am from Zimbabwe too hunay “born & raised”, l just live in Canada🇨🇦 There might be a reason you were denied to visit, probably cause of Covid. Try again when all of this is done! It’s such a hectic time with this Covid, we also can’t even leave the country to come back home anyhow, so! I believe it’s just to keep us all safe as we have lost a lot of loved ones during this pandemic.❤️🇨🇦🇿🇼

Beautiful ❤️ thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much. Its on my bucket list.
Victoria Falls is in a class of its own. It is both in Zambia & Zimbabwe because we’re twin sister countries. Where the river comes from in Zambia, we call it by its real name Yambeji or Yambezhi & we swim in it. Try the Zambian side top up your experience of the falls by walking on the Knife Edge bridge.
We are related to u stop claiming us
@@dimbwemazala8978 Tongas are at the receiving end of the river, so just how the hell do you name something you did not produce? Only the Northern part of Zambia has the true right to this river, besides, if they wanted , they wud block it and lets see what you will call your empty gravel in a shallow long hole?
Thank you young lady. Beautifully display and Narrator.🌅
Love love love this video, thank you AT💕

Thank you sister for this incredible tour of the fall.
You are amazing 😻
Love love love this.
The awe of the falls makes you feel so insignificant you got to be there to feel it
@African Tigress Great content. Try visiting the Mosi-Oa-Tunya in mid-January. At that time the falls are full enough but not too much to shower/spray you. Loved the view from the Zambian side though.
Mama Africa I miss you so much; I can't wait to visit.
Good work.
Beautiful Beautiful ZW Falls. Thank you African Tigress
Yes I really enjoyed this episode my sister so keep it coming ! I would also like to use this opportunity to correct we Africans, if David Livingstone is the one that discovered what he called "Victoria falls" what about the local people That have have been living with the falls for generations and these local people even have a name for it "The Smoke that Thunders" before he renamed it.
No such thing as Victoria falls. There is a train station called Victoria station in London. This is not a train station. It is the "The Smoke that Thunders" Mosi-Oa-Tunya!
Colonizers are evil. You cannot "discover" someplace that is already inhabited.
No one is saying he discovered it,she said he was the 1st European to see the Falls, but it was locals who took him to the location.Speaking of Europeans, the Portuguese had visited the area Centuries before Livingstone was born and some believe they could have seen the falls long before him,so there is doubts weather he was 1st European to see it in mid 19th Century, while Portuguese had visited the area in 16th Century.
@@lemigod4475 The claim by David Livingstone in most Western literature was that, he discovered the falls.
A Zimbabwean man domiciled in, and visiting from, the UK fell into the falls and died, last Christmas. It's good to note they have now placed barriers on that section of the Falls, even though it takes away some of its natural look.
the barriers have always been there
Simple amazing. So much media lies regarding Zimbabwe. I will surely visits when the world is normal again. Much love from West Africa

Nice walk. Brings back memories. I need to visit again soon. But they really need to remove that statue of David Livingstone.
it's a tourist attraction for Europeans who bring in most of the money besides whats a statue gona do to anyone
It’s for historical purposes. He brought the world to our wonder. Besides, we cannot wish history away now can we?
