I owned one of these for many years. This one was for my daughter. It will do a great job on powder snow do7.pl/toro however deep, as long as you stay ahead of it. Very reliable and well built. Since it is electric It also eliminates any starting issues or the need to store gasoline. The downside is heavy, wet snow.
This is an electric starter, not electric running. The gas cap is on top for the blind. Some black 53-yar old renegger walked off with mine ($599) saying he was fixing it. I live in Kenosha and i think white cops should by law be forced to carry only 1 bullet in chamber, and they need to send two black cops both with 7 bullets to rid these criminals. Damn the christian who lies about Jesus and thinks Jesus taught forgive the criminal who does not repent.

GumBuster is a miracle. Last weekend my 3 year old Toro Power Clear wouldn't start after 6" of snow. I searched for a solution online and came across this video so I called the order number and spoke with Frank the owner/inventor and he shipped a GumBuster out to me the same day. He's in the Chicago area where I live and when I received the package, being mechanically challenged, I had problems installing the valve on my carburetor. It's really simple to do I found out but I have dyslexia and I couldn't figure it out. I called him to ask a question and he said he'd come over and show me how to do it. Now that's customer service! He gave me some tips on maintenance and I asked how he started the business and we had a nice chat. He's a small businessman who's a great guy and this is an amazing product. I highly recommend everyone with a snow blower, mower, etc. get this kit to keep your machine in top condition. Please support small businesses.
I bought and used this product in the past week. I failed to drain my gas tank from my Toro 721 E snowblower, so the engine wouldn't turn over. I did some troubleshooting. Gas was flowing into the carburetor fine and the engine would turn over briefly when I sprayed some starting fluid into the air intake, but the engine quickly died once the starting fluid burned off. The reasonable explanation was that the carburetor was gummed up form the gas being left in all year. I purchased this product and used as directed. The engine turned over and worked for 5-10 seconds, but would then turn off. So everything was working but something was still preventing the gas from continually entering the carburetor. I reached out via email to the gentlemen in this video that sold me the product and explained what going on. He gave me advice that the carburetor float needle was likely still stuck. If I'd left the gum buster in the carburetor for longer than 10 minutes, then it may have cleaned the float needle as well. Ultimately, I used RUclips to learn how to take apart the carburetor. I found that the valves were clean (so the gum buster is what likely cleaned them as the engine did turn over for 5-10 seconds after using the gum buster) but the float needle was gummed up. The email from the gentleman in this video explained how to clean the float needle, which I did. I reassembled everything and my snowblower now runs great! I never would have gotten it working on my own without the product/advice offered by the gentleman in this video. He was even willing to call me if we couldn't resolve my issue via email. Great product and great customer service! I highly recommend you give this product a shot!

Inject GumBuster till the carburetor starts dripping out, Let it sit 20 min,
Start snowblower on GumBuster w/choke off (no choke)
It should start and die right after,
Then put some main fuel in tank and start it again with choke on and there....my snow blower worked!!! Btw, I’m from Toronto and I’m more than happy to pay the $10 shipment again if I ever need it again.
I bought the gumbuster kit last winter and forgot I had it. My Toro Snowblower wouldn't start recently and I used the kit as directed in the video. It worked the first try just like the video said it would.
It's a very easy process. Much easier than taking the carburetor off.
This worked perfectly.....I followed the directions on the can and it was EXACTLY as shown and now my five year old snowblower is like new....I would buy this again and again and again....worth every penny
I have a Toro 721e snowblower. We let the gas sit in the tank all summer and this winter I tried to start it and it just wouldn't start. I found gumbuster by cleancarburetor online and decided to give it a try rather than changing out the carburetor which would take 2 hours. I bought the gumbuster for $46 shipped priority mail and it came in 3 days. Well I got it today and I gave it a try. The first time I tried it it ran and then cut out and would not start again. I ran the gumbuster one more time and it started good and stayed running. I recently brought my Toro 721 Snowblower in for repair since it wasn't starting after forgetting to remove the gas from the tank before last winter. They said it could cost up to $110 and I'd have to wait 6-8 weeks for them to get to it. After finding this product online and talking to them on the phone, I decided to take a chance for $30 and order it. Once it arrived, I went back and picked up the Snowblower, followed the instructions by draining the gasoline, installing their valve, spraying for 4 seconds, then waited about 15 to 20 minutes and it started right up. Happy as a clam! Saved myself money and the possibility of being without the snowblower for another potential 8 weeks.

I just fixed my neighbors toro 721 that wouldn't start by cleaning the spark plug, I also removed the center carburetor bowl bolt and sprayed car cleaner and sea foam spray up into it while I inverted the machine. It fired right up. I didn't have to by that stuff your selling.
Listen guys this is a small engine mechanic's worst nightmare in terms of carburetor fixes. I haven't used my snowblower in years. It wouldn't turn over. Feared I would have to replace parts like I didn't for my lawn mower. Did a little research and came across a youtube talking about using this stuff to clean out the carbs. After contacting the website, I have the model and make info and they told me which one to get. I got it. It did take 4 weeks even though I paid extra. But this was no fault of the seller. it was the post office and I had a tracking number. I followed the directions on the paper. and boom it started up. So happy as I know I save some money. And still got plenty left over for the future. This is a must have product for sure.
I was having the same exact problem as indicated in the video and recommend this product. Drained all the gas at the end of the prior season, but it wouldn't start. I believe it is the ethanol in gas that leaves residue even after draining the gas. I bought the kit with the GumBuster and PurgeGas. I did exactly what was done in the video and it worked! *Important tip* when you remove the screw, hold the bowl down so it doesn't move before installing the purge valve. The bowl shifted when I removed the screw and I found out later after gas kept leaking out, that I accidentally dislodged the gasket ring. If the bowl does move, remove it and seat the gasket ring in the groove before attaching the bowl with the purge valve. I had to flip my snowblower upside down so gravity would keep the ring in place while I reinstalled the bowl. If you are wondering if you really need to drain the gas before using GumBuster, yes you do. Frank was very responsive and answered all my questions. So glad I will be able to service my own snow blower every year without taking it in.

Jimmy - yes, once installed the PurgeValve stays with the machine for the rest of its life. In the spring time or before the storage period use PurgeGas. The pressurized gas removes all the fuel from the carburetor leaving carburetor in like a new condition on inside and sure start next season.

Honestly did it work??? mine was sitting 2 years. 94 octane in it with stabilizer. I have 14 driveways to do....
We had the first snow of the season and my Toro would not start. I called repair places and they all told me weeks before they would be able to look at it. I looked on Amazon at doing a carburetor replacement which was plan B. I called the phone number on the website and the guy from the video here on RUclips answered. He was great, the part and spray arrived on Monday after a Saturday order. It took about ten minutes to install. It took two rounds of spray with a ten minute wait and the the. The Toro started right up. It has had no issues since.

Although skeptical, I was also desperate. And mechanically inept. But my trepidation gave way to jubilee when Gum Buster worked EXACTLY the way it is demonstrated here. Rarely have I been so satisfied with a product.
Luka - the other videos is about the PurgGas. PurgeGas is not a solvent but just a compressed gas. You use it at the end of the season. The pressurized gas removes all the fuel from the carburetor leaving carburetor in like a new condition on inside and sure start next season. So, use GumBuster if you can't start your snowblower (in the beginning of the season) and use PurgeGas at the end of the season or before the storage period.

I have a Honda snow blower 520A. Did a dumb thing ...did not drain tank from last winter.
Would not start. I put in a new plug. Same issue. Did some research and came across Gumbuster.
I ordered and came with the wrong purge valve. Called support, they called me back within a couple hours and sent it out that same day!
When part came, followed video instructions and it started with one pul. Probably because it is a starting fluid product.
Anyway, I ran for 10 or so minutes, then let it set to make sure it would start cold 60 minutes later sitting outside. 1 pull start!
ps. while not necessary it helps to have a 10mm deep socket.
I just found a brand new snow blower on the curb being put out for garbage.
Guy was outside so I asked him about the unit, why on the curb?
He said he bought it for $100 on FB Marketplace, and it never started even once.
The guy he bought it from said he could not get it to start either.
I bought a can of GumBuster with the std valve, followed directions, threw in a new spark plug just for luck, and it started right up, exactly how the directions said.
I put in clean gas and it runs like new.
I figure since I think I can get about 4 uses out of one can @ $40, that’s $10 per unit, I get spark plugs for $2, so I have $12 into this new snowblower.
Unbelievable. I will ALWAYS have a can of GumBuster in my tool box, and will remain on the hunt for lawn mowers, snow blowers, and pressure washers that “won’t start” so I can get them for nothing and give them to friends as gifts. Best part is that I have worked on small engines for years, and have taken apart more carbs than I care to remember. This is FIRST TIME I ever got an old unit running WITHOUT having to take apart the carb. SO much easier.
Now I want to know when you are coming out with a kit for 2 cycle weed wackers and leaf blowers!

Great preventive maintenance, definitely not the cure all. I use acid to clean jets, sometimes even small drill bits to clean jets.

I bought the Gum Buster kit and my Toro was running under 5 minutes!
Buy a 5 gallon can of racing fuel and use only in your small engine equipment. At the end of the season run it till it runs out of fuel. No more problems! Or you could just use non ethanol fuel.

Hey John, I followed this video, but instead of using Gumbuster, which is about $40 on Amazon, I used Gumout Carb/Choke & Parts Cleaner, which is about $4 w/tax, and the only difference is, when I removed that screw, and instead of attaching the purge valve attachment, I just stuck the plastic tube that comes with the Gumout can inside the opening, and then I sprayed it up inside the area where you would have attached the purge valve, and it worked perfectly. Just make sure you drain/siphon the gas out of your snowblower before you start. And I'd imagine any spray can of carburetor cleaner w/the plastic tube would work. Also, you can buy Gumout Carb/Choke & Parts Cleaner at Home Depot, and I'm sure most automotive stores would sell it and other carburetor cleaner brands.
Gum buster solution and kit. Amazon does not have it.

I did get it though and it got my blower going. However it only runs with the choke on... im gonna take it apart and clean the carb anyway. However the product did work.

Also, on your video where you used this product on a Honda mower it came with a L shape purge which to me makes it a lot easier to connect the hose to since the deck is so close to the bottom of the carb. Many people call us with the question why their carburetors gumup even with the non-ethanol fuel. The answer is simple, the capillary effect keeps the droplets of fuel inside very small holes of the jets, primarily the emulsion tube. The fuel dries out inside the holes obstructing the fuel flow next time the engine is attempted to start. Pressurizing the inside of the carburetor with a PurgeGas is the only known method to remove all the droplets of the fuel leaving the carburetor in a like new condition and sure start next time. I have a Toro 621e snowblower. The website is very confusing. This video says all Toros use the Honda type can and valve, yet the website seems to say you get a carburetor and a purge valve and a can of stuff -- there are two options, the one that calls out the 621 specifically for $49, and the one that is less expensive Honda type. I am confident you don't get a carburetor .. by why more with the 621 called out, versus cheaper Honda type? Thanks!

On a properly operating Snowblower or any other power equipment use PurgeGas before the storage period. PurgeGas uses a pressurized gas that effectively removes all the remaining gasoline inside the carburetor. This is the only one proven method of preserving the carburetor in like a new condition over the storage period. If not treated with PurgeGas, the carburetor will gum up sooner or later.

Use recreational fuel for snowblowers,and 2 and 4 cycle engines. With a stabalizer and no problems like this.

Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

What size ratchet did you use to take the screw off?
10mm to take the screw off. 11mm or 7/16" to install the PurgeValve

Gum Buster is about $45 !! My 25 year old MTD is not worth the investment.
Think this way, the shops would charge you $120-$160 for the carburetor cleaning. Newer snowblowers carburetors require carburetor cleaning every couple of years. The GumBuster can be used 5 times before you run out the cleaner. That means you can clean the carb 5 years in a row for a price of $9 per year. It's definitly worth the investment.

Don't leave gas in it, drain the gas and then run true fuel for storage, gasoline with ethanol will gum up your carb and create water in your fuel, no start
Question ... Do you need to remove the gasoline in the snowblower first in order to use the GumBuster?
William - You don't have to remove the fuel if the snowblower is equipped with a fuel shut off. Empty just the carburetor. If the snowblower doesn't have a fuel shut off valve (all Toro single stage snowblowers don't have the valve), drain all the fuel from the tank through the bottom of the carburetor

Well, I tried it. This is junk. It doesn't even smell like any kind of carb cleaner. The part for the bowl, it's just a tire valve. Save your $50.00 and put it towards a new carburator. Disappointed

Hey Mikey, I followed this video, but instead of using Gumbuster, which like you said is about $40 on Amazon, I used Gumout Carb/Choke & Parts Cleaner, which is about $4 w/tax, and the only difference is, when I removed that screw, and instead of attaching the purge valve attachment, I just stuck the plastic tube that comes with the Gumout can inside the opening, and then I sprayed it up inside the area where you would have attached the purge valve, and it worked perfectly. Just make sure you drain/siphon the gas out of your snowblower before you start. And I'd imagine any spray can of carburetor cleaner w/the plastic tube would work. Also, you can buy Gumout Carb/Choke & Parts Cleaner at Home Depot, and I'm sure most automotive stores would sell it and other carburetor cleaner brands.
This snowblower is a piece shit of the highest order. I have had mine for 6 years and maybe use it twice a year. It always has a hard time starting and this year it won't start at all and I need it tomorrow for the big storm coming. It also doesn't blow snow all that well. Anything over 8 inches and you are fucked. I will NEVER buy a Toro product ever again.

I've had mine since 2016 and it's been great. These compact blowers are only rated to just under a foot of snow. You might need a bigger machine.

The purge valve gets installed on the bottom of the carburetor. The GumBuster fluid will dissolve the gum inside the carburetor allowing the fuel to flow through the jets again. With this, you'll be able to start your snowblower engine again.

At the end of the season, drain fuel out of the carburetor, connect the purge gas to the purge valve and with a few blasts remove all the fuel from inside of the carb. The carb will be left like in a brand new condition over the storage period.
