Wax Wings is one of my fav track of the album.. Kinda underrated. The second half with Spencer going sky high and the huge movie strings ending.. Masterpiece
Dracul Gras is easily the best track on the album, in my opinion. It takes you on such a journey and still would even if it were just an instrumental track, so impressive.
I like thanks nobuo better but imo they are both head and shoulders above the rest of the album.. Imo theyre also both in periphery top 6 songs. Masterpieces
I've never played a ff game before so when I heard thanks nobuo had references to ff7 in it I made my non metal head ff megafan friend listen to it. He picked out clouds theme in the chorus and jenovas theme around 4:00 right away I was just psyched because it's my favorite song on the album by a mile even tho I don't have that extra tie to the ff7 references Now I'm dying to play ff7 and 16
Wax Wings is for sure my personal favourite just because I loved songs like It's Only Smiles. But the whole album is up there as my favourite songs ever
honestly I wasn't feeling half of the album because this was the first work by them I had ever heard when it released but when I listened to their whole discog and got into their "groove" I really love this album and they've been my favorite band for half a year lmao
Yer too hard on yourself my guy lol. Great review for a great album. Very funny, entertaining, and insightful. Plus your creamy voice is killing it. New sub here great job bro
P3 is my second favorite periphery album but P1 will always be my #1. That album doesn't get nearly enough love because it's the oldest, worst production, worst vocals, and because Misha wrote it all before almost any of them were in the band (only song someone else helped write is Racecar (their best song btw) which jake co wrote) so they don't care about it nearly as much as the ones they made together Doesn't change the fact it has the best collection of songs on it and the highest average song quality (all 10/10s, no other p album is like that) of any of their albums, and it has their best song (RACECAR)
BTW the V in PV is for video games
Returnal reference (atropos), hades reference (zagreus), and Nobuo Uematsu reference

29:25 Dang, you were so close! It's a callback to Atropos! Your favorite song!
lol i feel dumb
Easily on my top three fav albums of all time.
What a great fucking album.
I have looked through your reaction videos and I see no signs of worm shepherd they are top tier blackened deathcore

Killer album. Just gets better the more you listen.
The "blood like wine" riff in dracul gras is just absolutely scrumptious, my favorite riff in their entire discography
In thanks nobuo i'm pretty sure the 'nothing lasts forever' melody is the first notes of the ff7 main theme
Thank you!!!
Yea that hit me on first listen n i lost my shit lmao
I cried
I can't stop listening to fat dracula. So god damn gooooooood
Holy shit, someone else knows about Trigun? (The screen in the back) Love that anime, top tier.
Absofuckinglutley my guy

Loved watching the emotional journey you went on experiencing the record for the first time.
Thank you brother! I appreciate you!

Thanks man I appreciate you!
Great video! You and i have something in common, Atropos quickly became my fav too. Its just too good imo.
I agree, Atropos is my favorite too, so good
after all this time sitting with the record it STILL my favorite!
@@whaleseathumans I love it too but i have to say that Drakul Grass may have taken the number 1 spot!
Generally speaking, the electronica stuff belongs to Jake. That's definitely his thing
yeah i thought so!
